Academics to celebrations - University of Wisconsin
To be able to continue running cross country and track and field in college. It also is a small school where the biggest class size is 50 students. I wanted to go to a small school where the professors would know me and I could walk everywhere.
Some of the classes I think we should not have to take such as two lab science courses for a BS degree. I also do not think we need to write a 25-page research paper in order to graduate college. I did enjoy the history courses I have taken and think all my professors were great. I also enjoy my religion classes and the requirements to get that minor are easy.
I took the ACT in order to get into college. I got a 19 on the ACT. I never had to take a university level exam except for the test in my classes.
The exam structure is fine. Again it depends on the professors if they give exams or not. For my history major, I have had profusion give a test, online quizzes or just papers instead of tests. For my religion junior the test have been multiple choice and essay format. As long as you study your fine.
I think they're great. All the professors I have had have taken the time to know us. Even when I see them outside of class they remember who I am and say hi. I think they are very passionate about what they teach and want us to do the best.
Since I am an out of state student tuition is $16,00 a year. They also charge textbook rental fees, health center fees, muslins fees. They can also charge you for a meal plan, purple points and anything you charge to your student bill.
I lived in the dorms my first two years of school and they were nice for being dorms. I knew after my second year I wanted a place to call my own so I moved into an apartment. I prefer that over the dorms. I enjoy having my own space, shower, and kitchen.
Placements and job opportunities depend on your major. Some majors have great job opportunities while others do not. It also depends on what type of job you're trying to get and the area your looking into.
There are internships but it depends on what you're majoring in. Not all majors require an internship. My major does not require one. I do not have experience with internships or know anything about them.
I honestly don't know what events they celebrate on my campus it just depends on what's going on that month. If there's any special events or anniversaries than they'll celebrate that. I do not pay much attention to what happens.
Yes, I took out a financial aid loan out of $7,500. I do not have a scholarship. My parents took out a $4,000 loan in order to help me pay for school. For financial aid, all you do is fill out the financial aid form.
Monthly Expense : $200 - $500
