California State University
A California university
I was enthusiastic about the exercise science program they offered and how accredited the professors in the program were. Many of them have worked professionally with athletes who have become pro or made it to the Olympics.
It was definitely challenging but also very rewarding. Learning science isn't the easiest subject to pick up on. But every class was just as informative as it was interesting to learn. It was cool to be able to apply what I learned while I exercised.
The exam structure varies by the professor. Some were written and some were multiple choice. Others were on the computer and some were with a partner or open book. They all followed what we learned in the course though.
The faculty were all so helpful. My professors always had an active engagement with the students and allowed all of us to express our ideas freely all while applying the curriculum of science.
Fees were what an average university in California would cost. About 3k and some a semester. Books were able to be rented out or bought and we had to pay for a parking pass, but I think it helped since the school is a commuter school.
Monthly Expense : $200 - $500
