California State University
Honest Review of CSUF
Because it's close to my house and I went to Fullerton community college and it made it easy for me to transfer from Fullerton Community College into California State University Fullerton. I also opted for CSUF for Greek life!
My opinion on the course curriculum, and I guess that?s CSUF as a whole is that it's really good. I just hate how we have to take so many electives. I feel like it shouldn't be required for students to take nonmajor classes.
I took the SAT and that's it. I actually transferred from FJC so there was no point in even taking it in the first place.
The exam structure is okay, I know for my digital foundations class the entire class literally was not given enough time. A lot of the students were not able to complete their midterm. This led to a lot of problems and a lot of students were upset.
I think our faculty is great! I love the diversity! However, I don't like that some of the professors aren't even real professors. They are teacher assistants. If I'm paying my tuition and all that, then the least that CSUF could do is provide a professor.
Fees for my sorority are $450 in the first semester and $250 after that semester. For tuition, I believe it's like $5,000 per semester. You pay that exact amount whether you're full time or part-time.
I live off campus. So I don't really have much to say about the housing situation. But I have visited my friends at their dorms and the university housing. The university housing is honestly really nice but definitely overpriced.
As far as job opportunities go, there is a lot offered. The job opportunities at California State University, Fullerton is really wide. There is always a new job posted, like on campus as well as off campus.
Yes, I think they do. I know for a comm capstone we have to have an internship. But I don't know if CSUF offers them. I know that there are other internships offered by like PRSSA, and stuff like that. But overall I'm not 100% sure.
There is a Greek week, which is a huge competition between fraternities and sororities. There is a discover fest where all the clubs and organizations of CSUF are brought together for people to 'discover'.
I have received financial aid, and that has helped a lot and taken a lot of financial stress off my dad.
Monthly Expense : $200 - $500
