Professors in NIT Warangal, especially in Water Resources are one of the best in India. Prof. Uma Mahesh is one of the best professors in India. I am unlucky to loose a PhD under him. May be next time I will get it! We have five professors and the last professor has joined in 1996. So you can assume the quality!
Faculties are very good.Good in the sense ,they are knowledgeous , experienced ,most importantly down to earth. Most of them have many IEEE papers. In mtech ,both the years you have to do project .In second year one has to do major project. Faculties help so much in project.
All the faculty teaching M.Tech (Environmental Engineering) are highly qualified (Everyone with a Ph.D & Some with Post-Doc). They are proficient in almost all the corresponding fields and do critical yet contributing research. The faculty at NITW show high interest in teaching and are more lenient towards applied studies than theoretical emphasis/explanation.
Some faculties in the department are very dedicated and motivated to teach and guide you and some just talk about the stars because thats what they know. Overall the faculty standards according to me is poor for my department as they will tell you to do this and that but when you reach out to them to help you, instead to asking you about your interest.
The faculty was very intellectual, co-operative and had the right attitude towards teaching. The faculty was very sound technically and was able to clear all the doubts. They were also willing to meet the students even outside the class and help in every aspect possible.
There are many grades in faculty, in those profs are the best in that order. They are well experienced, highly talented, but very strict. You need to be very clear about what doubt you are asking and the basics to that questions. Next are asst and associate profs, those are good in experience and talent but some are not friendly, and the next is lecturers are good in talent but not very experience and they are friendly.
In classroom you will never feel you are in old govt college with same old boring teaching methodology. Faculties are highly qualified and very much interactive. They always observe discipline in their conduct and impart the same to the atmosphere of classroom and campus. They encourage student to be innovative in their field. Research is main focus for faculties and some of them have published hundreds of international papers. Institute also provide consultancy service which help faculty to have on field real time problems exposure and can provide their expertise to mega projects.
The Computer Science department faculty were pretty good. All the Professors are highly knowledgeable and available to students at any time.
The faculty is much better as compared to private colleges. The amount of enthusiasm and knowledge they bring into the classroom is amazing. All of them are highly qualified to teach their respective subjects and highly knowledgeable in that field.
Faculty are good. Barring one or two, rest are real gems. They guide us through future plans and also encourage the students based on the interest. For eg: we never had FEM as a part of curriculam, but based on interest, we were advised to join the classes where FEM is a part of curriculam. I even got a chance to get my work published in an international journal.
