KEE 2026: Registration Open, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Cutoff

KEE 2026 (KIET Entrance Exam) is an online proctored entrance test conducted by KIET University (Deemed to be University), Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh for admission to B.Tech and other programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. KIET received the status of Deemed-to-be-University in November 2025, which is a landmark change — from 2026, all admissions are handled directly by KIET through its own process and no longer through AKTU-UPTAC state counselling. The exam has been conducted across Phase 1 (January 2026) and Phase 2 (April 2026), and the consolidated merit list is expected to be released soon on the official portal.

• Merit List: The KEE 2026 consolidated merit list has not been officially published as of June 15, 2026. It is expected to appear on admission.kiet.edu in the coming weeks. In previous cycles, the merit list was typically released within 2–3 weeks of the final exam phase.
• Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates from the KEE 2026 merit list will be called for a Personal Interview (PI) at KIET’s Ghaziabad campus. The PI schedule has not yet been announced. Based on past trends, PI rounds take place in June–July, approximately 3–4 weeks after the merit list is published.
• KEE Application Still Open: Students who have not yet applied for KEE 2026 can still register on admission.kiet.edu. The application fee is Rs. 500. Exam slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the window is expected to remain open until July 2026.
• Seat Allotment: Final seat allotment and admission confirmation for the 2026-27 batch at KIET University is expected in July–August 2026 after completion of all PI rounds. KIET offers close to 1,980 B.Tech seats across 13+ specializations.

What is KEE 2026 (KIET Entrance Exam)?

KEE stands for KIET Entrance Exam. It is a university-level entrance test conducted by KIET University (Deemed to be University), Ghaziabad for admission to B.Tech programmes. The full name of the institution is Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology, located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in the Delhi-NCR region.

KIET was established in 1998 as an engineering college affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly known as UPTU. In November 2025, KIET received the status of Deemed-to-be-University from the University Grants Commission (UGC). This is a major milestone. It means KIET is now an autonomous university with the authority to conduct its own admissions, award its own degrees, and set its own admission criteria.

From 2026, KIET no longer participates in UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling) for any programme. All admissions are now conducted directly by the university. The KEE exam is KIET’s own entrance test for B.Tech admission. Students can also apply using JEE Main or CUET scores if they do not wish to appear for KEE.

The KEE 2026 exam is conducted in online proctored mode, which means you can take the test from your home using your own computer. There is no need to travel to an exam centre. KIET uses an AI-based proctoring system to monitor candidates during the exam. The exam has been conducted in multiple phases — Phase 1 in January 2026 and Phase 2 in April 2026.

KIET holds a NAAC A+ accreditation and is ranked in the 151–200 band in NIRF Engineering rankings. It also holds a QS I-GAUGE Diamond Rating. KIET University has moved to a fully direct admission process from 2026 onwards. There is no UPTAC or AKTU counselling route for any programme at KIET this year.

KEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before you apply for KEE 2026, check that you meet the eligibility criteria. KIET University has set clear academic requirements for each programme. Here are the eligibility conditions for B.Tech admission through KEE 2026:

Students who are appearing in their Class 12 board exams in 2026 can also apply. You do not need to wait for your final result before registering for KEE 2026. However, admission will be confirmed only after you meet the minimum marks requirement when the final result is out.

If you have a valid JEE Main 2026 score, you can use that instead of appearing for KEE. KIET also accepts JEE Main scores for direct admission. There is no need to sit for both exams if you already have a JEE Main score.

For MBA admission, the minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST). For M.Tech, a B.E or B.Tech degree in a relevant branch is required. For MCA, a graduation degree with 50% aggregate and Mathematics as a compulsory subject is needed.

KEE 2026 Application Form: How to Apply

The KEE 2026 application is completely online. You can register and apply through the official KIET admission portal at admission.kiet.edu. The application form for KEE 2026 opened on October 28, 2025, and the window is still open for students who have not yet applied.

Here is the step-by-step process to fill the KEE 2026 application form:

• Step 1 – Register: Visit admission.kiet.edu and click on ’New Registration’. Enter your name, email address, and mobile number to create your login credentials.
• Step 2 – Verify Email: Check your registered email for a verification link. Click on the link to activate your account.
• Step 3 – Fill Application Form: Log in and fill in your personal details, academic information (Class 10 and 12 marks), and programme preference.
• Step 4 – Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph, Aadhaar card, Class 10 marksheet, and Class 12 marksheet (or admit card if results are pending).
• Step 5 – Pay the Fee: Pay the application fee of Rs. 500 through online modes — debit card, credit card, or net banking. The fee is non-refundable.
• Step 6 – Book Your Exam Slot: After fee payment, you can select your preferred exam date and time from the available slots. Slots are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so book early to get your preferred date.
• Step 7 – Download Confirmation: Save and print your application confirmation slip for future reference.

Make sure you enter a valid email address because KIET uses it for all future communication, including admit card download, result notification, and merit list updates.

The application fee of Rs. 500 is non-refundable under any circumstances. Do not pay until you have checked all your details carefully.

Students who want to apply with a JEE Main score instead of KEE can also use the same portal. You will need to enter your JEE Main 2026 Application Number and score details during the form filling process.

The KEE 2026 syllabus is based on the NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 curriculum for Mathematics and Physics. The Aptitude and English sections follow a standard secondary-level pattern. You do not need to buy any separate books for KEE — your existing NCERT textbooks and standard Class 12 study material are sufficient.

KEE 2026 Admit Card

The KEE 2026 admit card is released on the official admission portal at admission.kiet.edu a few days before each exam phase. For Phase 1 (January 2026) and Phase 2 (April 2026), admit cards have already been issued and used. If you have booked a slot in any upcoming exam phase, you will receive your admit card before that date.

To download your KEE 2026 admit card:

• Log in to admission.kiet.edu using your registered email and password
• Go to the ’Admit Card’ section in your dashboard
• Download and save the PDF admit card
• Take a printout or keep a digital copy on your phone/laptop for reference

Since KEE is an online proctored exam, you do not carry a physical admit card to a centre. However, you will need to display it on your screen at the start of the exam during the identity verification stage. Keep the following ready on exam day:

KEE 2026 Result and Merit List

The KEE 2026 result is declared within 7 days of each exam phase on the official portal. Phase-wise results for January and April 2026 have already been declared. The consolidated merit list for KEE 2026, combining scores from all phases, is expected to be released in June–July 2026.

How is the KEE 2026 Merit List Prepared?

KIET prepares the final merit list by combining two factors:

• KEE 2026 Score (or JEE Main 2026 score for students who applied through JEE Main route)
• Class 12 PCM aggregate percentage

In case of a tie in the final merit score, KIET uses the following tiebreaker order:

• Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics in Class 12 gets priority
• If still tied, higher marks in Physics in Class 12
• If still tied, higher overall PCM percentage in Class 12
• If still tied, older candidate gets priority (senior in age)

Once the merit list is released, each candidate’s name, rank, and shortlisting status will be visible on the portal after logging in. Shortlisted candidates will receive an email and SMS from KIET with instructions on the next steps.

KEE 2026 Personal Interview (PI)

The Personal Interview (PI) is a mandatory step for shortlisted candidates after the KEE 2026 merit list is out. Only candidates who are called for PI based on their merit rank will be eligible for final admission to KIET University.

The PI is conducted at KIET’s campus in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. It is an in-person interview. You will need to travel to the campus for this round.

What does the KIET Personal Interview assess?

• Basic academic knowledge in Physics, Mathematics, and general science
• Communication skills in English and Hindi
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving approach
• Motivation for choosing engineering and the specific branch
• Career goals and interests

The PI is not highly technical at the B.Tech level. It is more of an overall assessment of your personality, academic awareness, and enthusiasm. You should be prepared to talk about why you want to study engineering, what you know about your chosen branch (CSE, AI&ML, ECE, etc.), and basic concepts from your Class 12 subjects.

Preparation Tips for KEE 2026

KEE 2026 is a focused 50-question test with no negative marking. This means smart preparation and complete coverage of the syllabus will give you a high score. Here is how you should prepare section by section:

Mathematics (25 Questions — Most Important)

Mathematics carries 50% of the total marks. You must be very strong here. Focus on:

• Complete NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 Mathematics — every exercise and example
• Calculus (Limits, Derivatives, Integrals) and Coordinate Geometry are typically high-weightage topics
• Matrices and Determinants and Probability are also important for engineering entrance exams
• Solve at least 20–30 previous year problems from each topic to build speed
• 10 out of 25 questions are at difficult level — so aim to master NCERT thoroughly first, then move to RD Sharma or Arihant for extra practice

Physics (15 Questions)

Physics in KEE is of moderate difficulty overall, but 5 questions are at the difficult level. Build a strong understanding of concepts rather than just memorizing formulas:

• NCERT Physics Part 1 and Part 2 (Class 11 and 12) are the primary source
• Focus on Electrostatics, Electromagnetism, Optics, and Modern Physics — these are common in engineering entrance exams
• Practice numerical problems especially in Mechanics, Current Electricity, and Electromagnetic Induction

• Build vocabulary with a daily word list (10 new words per day)

General Strategy

• No negative marking — always attempt every question. Never leave any blank.
• Average time per question is 2 minutes (100 min / 50 questions). Practice finishing Mathematics questions in 90–100 seconds to save extra time.
• Attempt the KIET sample papers and demo test available on the official portal — they give you a real feel of the exam interface and question format.
