VIT is good in placements only for Engineering graduates. When comes MBA I think VIT has a long way to go. Not even 50-60 students would have got placement out of 270 odd students in VIT MBA Vellore. Also those who got placement were mostly with Marketing. only 3-4 companies were for BA profile. The Placement Cell of VIT also focuses only for Engineering graduates. No focus is given by anyone towards MBA. When we were doing MBA a lot of representation was made to the management but nothing really happened.
When I was doing MBA, we were intimated to do internship. However they were no support from the institution. I did at UBI Chennai. Most of my friends did intern with a local insurance bank.
Placements in VIT are good. For CSE/IT it's near about perfect. ECE has its good share of fortune most of the times. EEE struggle in packages but the companies are branded and in core fields starting packages are less only. Mechanical and it's specialization streams have mixed fortunes of good core jobs to management based profiles Civil placements I don't have much idea. BioTech normally don't opt for placements and go for higher studies but good firms do come like Biocon, Dr.Reddy, Astrazenca. Overall Placements are more than average in VIT
College does provide internship it provides to various companies in bangalore and all over the country. It provides new experience to all of us and helps us better our skills.
Yes, internship is given by college more then 400 companies came to offer job. All the big company microsoft , dell, HP and many more.
No college is not providing any internship, but so many other companies came to give internship and they gave stipend also.
Every year lot of companies comes to college for placements. Almost 350 companies came in 2016 and every year it is increasing drastically almost all the CS, IT people are getting placed with a good package compared to other branches.
College gives you a lot of opportunities by calling lot of companies that provides internship .Depending upon how good you are the stipend that will vary, but if you a smart enough to manage that internship you will make around 20K per month.
Our college is very famous and known for placements.most of the students get placed in campus placement itself. Thats a very proud and happy moment for college and a student life. TCS, CTS, DELLOITE, CISCO, HCL, FLIPKART, AMAZON, etc and many more companies come to our campus basic offer will be around 3-4 lakhs.
Pre-final and final year students are eligible for internship.and yes our college provide internship for everyone.its our own choice whether to prefer it or go for other option.different companies come to our college and select students based on their talent and grades. And internship duration is also different for different companies.
The placement activities are one of the top most features of our college. Every year hundreds of campus hire students from different fields. For every student, IT jobs are basic provision by our college. Slot 1 is occupied by Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant and TCS. Slot 2 is occupied by Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, HCL etc.
Internships can be applied starting from the third year i.e. after the completion of the second year onwards. A letter needs to be taken from the Head of the Department stating to allow the student to apply for an internship. Our faculty may help the students to get an internship through his/her contacts but the college is no way responsible for mandatory internships to a student.
As far as placements are concerned, more than 300 companies came for campus placements with 5 major IT companies. I got offers from 4 companies, namely, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys and Accenture. Almost every single student gets a placement at the end of their degree and that is something that is worth lauding
Placements are excellent in college. Computer science students can expect average salary of INR 5.9 lakhs though I bagged offer little less than that. Overall, good college with lots of opportunities to evolve.
There is 100% placement in the campus. With a very huge number of companies coming to the campus from which one can choose to work with any of them but only after meeting certain cut-off marks. The companies such as Qualcomm, L&T, Cisco etc are some of the Super dream companies which come for placements with packaged as high as 24 lacks per annum.
Well yes they do provide internship but the vacancies are very few. So students have to interview for it and get through.
Placements as for any other college in India are good for CSE stream students. Every year a CSE guy/girl bangs a package of 25~30LPA maximum and an AVG of 4~5lpa of a decent person with good GPA and no arrears. Placements for IT are good too, but for civil and mechanical streams it is average.
Yes but very less in number. There are about 750 students in mechanical stream itself. And the internship provided by college is very less summing up to about 50~60.
