Too good.In this year around 100 companies came for placement.Almost all of the students will complete their course having minimum of two offers in their hand.I myself I got placed inCTS, INFOSYS(Software), HCL(CORE).Here every student an average will attend 8 to 12 companies then you imagine the placement scenario in VIT.
Yes,This year around 60 companies came for internships only. In my class(VLSI Design) out of 105 around 85 people got internships in reputed companies like Intel,Cadence,Synopsys. The general Stipend will be around 12k to 15k. The highest I heard was 30k given by NETAPP company.
placements are very well and the there are a lot of job opportunities for the students over here. If VIT has placement records then it is because of PAT centre. Not only does this function as the working body to facilitate smooth working of the placement activities in the campus but also works to facilitate the training activities of the students and makes sure they get placed in the best of both national and international companies. This functions as the working body to facilitate smooth working of the placement activities in the campus. VIT University has been consistently setting records of campus placements amongst private institutions in India. Producing graduates who are well equipped...
yes they do provide internship. Most people do their internships in third year to fulfil the 2 credit inplant training requirement to get their degree. Some people who have prerequisite knowledge do apply in the second year. You must apply on your own, but information is generally relayed by the college. There is B.TECH CSE group on Google for each year. A few professors regularly send in information about competitions, internships, etc. You can also check out Internshala or other similar internship websites. If you happen to be doing research under some faculty, you can ask your faculty for referrals as well. That apart, if you can apply directly to any firm. But you must contact your progr...
I’ll use my previous answer for this. And also, last year’s statistics is a little complicated so I’ll give you a general overview of the IT companies that visit VIT annually during the mass and core placements. From this, you will be able to deduce what companies you should look for and what company’s profile would suit you. Okay, Here goes, Super Dream offers: Myntra Snap deal Google Microsoft Amazon Paypal Code Nation (Very rare but package close t0 20 lpa) Some of the highest packages offered at super dream offers go beyond 15 lakhs per annum. Snap deal and Myntra have offered packages of 15 lakhs per annum. Google has visited VIT a few times well not physicall...

Almost everyone gets a regular offer (IT mass recruiters) with a CTC of around 3.3 Lakhs to begin with. After this you can sit for Dream offers which have a CTC of around 4-8 Lakhs. About 20 - 40% of the batch successfully converts a Dream offer in core branches (Mechanical, EEE, Civil). In non core branches (CSE, IT , ECE and the likes) the ratio is higher with about 60-80% getting a Dream job. Non core branches also have a shot at Super Dream offers with a CTC 8 LPA. The conversion here is 15%. All in all if you work hard and keep up a good profile throughout B.Tech Placements will excite you.
From my experience, VIT does not provide internship for outsiders. For students studying in VIT a 4 week internship is mandatory and part of the curriculum. You have to arrange this yourself and VIT does not help you in this regard.
Placement is very good for CSE, IT and ECE branches a large number of companies come and hire in a large amount (based on their requirements) also usually they offer good CTC. A Large number of students getting placed in Dream companies. But in case of other branches like EEE , Mechanical, Civil etc are having good placement opportunities but not as good as Cse and IT branches.
Yes, many companies offer internship and there is a range of stipend offered based on the companies standard and requirements. Companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Danfoss, Intel etc give a good amount of stipend and some others companies like Johnson control, Wipro, Infosys etc also give internship but they offer less amount of stipend.
Placements here range from 3.5 lakh per annum to 29 lakh per annum (Directi). Placements for core branches are satisfactory but it's not at par with the number of students in core branches. Placements in VIT are good. For CSE/IT it's near about perfect.ECE has its good share of fortune most of the times.EEE struggle in packages but the companies are branded and in core fields starting packages are less only.Mechanical and it's specialization streams have mixed fortunes of good core jobs to management based profiles.BioTech normally don't opt for placements and go for higher studies but good firms do come like Biocon,Dr.Reddy,Astrazenca Overall Placements are more than average in VIT
Yes, VIT also provides internship in final semester of your degree.Companies like Danfoss Industries, Anand Motors , Mittal steels Titan ,Honeywell came for internship in our department. The stipend these companies are giving is around 12k per month and later these get converted to placement in most of the cases.
I will rate 10/10. VIT does not only provide placements opportunities to computer science related branches. More than 50 core companies visit vit every year and a total of whooping 400 on campus companies come to VIT University. For mechanical companies like Maruti,ITC, Nissan,Vedanta,Danfoss, satven venture,Whirlpool,SKF,Escorts,Honda,Hero,Hyundai etc. They all will offer from 4.5 to 8 Lpa.
Yes, Some companies came for my batch for mechanical like T.V.S motors, Honeywell, Arcellor Mitall, Danfoss, Sunderam Clayton, Derrick petroleum,Titan, Tcs. but for other branches like computer science you will have dozens of companies offering internships cum placements.
Placement and job opportunities are the speciality of this University. It is one of the few private universities which gaurentees full placement opportunities to everyone studying in the college.Placements are divided in mass, dream and superdream companies.
Yes my college provides internships in renowned companies like Microsoft and Ford, they are applicable from 3rd year
VIT is good in placements only for Engineering graduates. When comes MBA I think VIT has a long way to go. Not even 50-60 students would have got placement out of 270 odd students in VIT MBA Vellore. Also those who got placement were mostly with Marketing. only 3-4 companies were for BA profile. The Placement Cell of VIT also focuses only for Engineering graduates. No focus is given by anyone towards MBA. When we were doing MBA a lot of representation was made to the management but nothing really happened.
When I was doing MBA, we were intimated to do internship. However they were no support from the institution. I did at UBI Chennai. Most of my friends did intern with a local insurance bank.

BioTech normally don't opt for placements and go for higher studies but good firms do come like Biocon, Dr.Reddy, Astrazenca. Overall Placements are more than average in VIT
College does provide internship it provides to various companies in bangalore and all over the country. It provides new experience to all of us and helps us better our skills.
