Likes
- I like that the professors help if you are stuck In anything, related to education.
- The dedicated international office, is always there to help us rather its related to university or in day to day life.
Dislikes
- I dont like is the extra curriculum activities, i think there can be more such of fun activities where we all can gather and get the chance to connect with more international students regardless of the course they are pursuing.
- As there is an increasing number of international students each semester, there is a great problem of accommodation right now according to me.
Course Curriculum

- The course syllabus is not that relevant, as we have one subject that is not relevant for Data Science, but it's the core subject in the curriculum, so we had to do that.
- Currently i have a Research Case Study, which is also the core subject. So yes, I will get the exposure to research experience.
- The classes depend on the number of courses you enrol in. So, on average i have 2-3 classes a day.
- There will be around 60-70 students in the class.
Admission Experience
- The admission process was nice. It wasn’t that hectic, and the admission team was also quick in resolving the queries that I encountered during the application.
- As usual, while researching universities in Germany, I came across Trier University. I also learned that Trier is the oldest city in Germany. So that also made me curious to apply to the university. So that's how I landed in Trier :)
Faculty

- I am very glad to have Mr. Aziz in the international office. He has helped me out very much in accommodating, and also i had faces a problem getting some charges for not completing a survey that was sent by the city council or something. I don't know exactly. So he had called them on my behalf and asked them not to charge me for anything. As I was new and was not aware that the survey forms were also very important to finish.
Campus Life

- There are 2 campuses. There is a sports club in the university, which we can access by taking a subscription to the games we are interested in.
Part Time Jobs
- 14€/hour in part-time jobs. We can visit the stores, restaurants, and ask for a job. Or some companies also post it online in Facebook groups, or indeed, etc., we can also apply through there. Per month it is 80hrs limit for students' jobs/part-time.
- On-campus jobs are usually less. But if you are early to apply, you might secure a university job too. Maybe 10-15 students secure the Assistant job positions
Placement

- To be frank, I don't know the percentage of batches securing the job.
- Avg. salary is 80k, one can expect upon graduation in Data Science
- Students usually use LinkedIn, Xing, Indeed, direct company websites, visiting job fairs, referrals, etc.

- I live in a single apartment, and I pay 370€/ month.
Exams
- IELTS required. Statement of Purpose, LOR, CV, Bachelor’s Degree for a master’s program.
- My score: IELTS score 6.5, GERMAN language A1 certificate
Fees
- I pay 350€ per semester. The total tuition fees depend on how many semesters you take to finish your program. Currently I am in 5th sem, and i will finish in my 6th semester. So I will be paying 2100€ in total.
