International students need to go through three steps to take admission at the University of Groningen- Registration, Application, Admission.
Admission process at the University of Groningen is more complicated and lengthy for international applicants than Dutch students. Applicants need to register in studielink and finish application on the online application system of the university. The university sends a confirmation e-mail at the start of application. Documents must be uploaded in a pdf format. Documents can be sent through mail also.

Non-EU students need a visa and residence permit and visa to study in the Netherlands. The Immigration Service Desk (ISD) takes care of the visa and residence permit applications of all university students and staff.
