An LOR from professor is also known as an academic LOR that acts as an affidavit to your academic accomplishments and growth. LOR for student from professor needs to be written on the college/university's letterhead and the institutional email address needs to be mentioned as LORs with personal email account addresses are not accepted by universities abroad. The writing professors also need to provide their contact information along with the timings when they will be available to take the calls, if required.

I am delighted to recommend Avinash for his admission to Masters in Information Technology. I have taught him for three years during his undergraduate studies in my capacity as Associate Professor for Information Technology and Data collection techniques. I distinctly recall his dedication and enthusiasm in the class for learning and sharing his out of box creative ideas.
The academics are not the only area for his achievements, he is an excellent athlete and track and field game player. For the last two years, his team has won the inter-college and inter-state competitions for our institution. He has great endurance power and tries to do justice to every task that he takes up.
Our first meeting was also very interesting as I met him during the group discussion organised for the new incumbents in the course and as the convener was a little late in reaching, he was the one who kept the crowd of 280 students disciplined and entertained. His talk was not only amusing but was also motivational and inspiring and it made the faculty team also stand at the door and listen to him. With a charismatic personality, he possesses a great passion for acquiring the technical skills required to excel in the subject area.
He shows extraordinary determination and sincerity in his learning and has a meticulous approach to practice and research work. I remember working on a project with him where students had to develop application software and within the stipulated time he created three applications on the same topic and we were surprised to see two of his applications getting selected for showcasing at the state level. He is a team player and knows to work under guidance. Our faculty members are really proud of the fact that he takes guidance from us and through his innovative skills is able to apply so efficiently that it amazes us too.
His ability to perform under stress and meeting difficult deadlines is also commendable. In the technical areas, the precision and timely deliveries importance is personified in him. He has the ability to create and innovate the existing ideas and rules but this requires polishing of his skills and deeper knowledge in the subject area with multidimensional tasks. For this, it is important for him to do his masters from an institution that can enhance his capabilities and provide ample opportunities to grow and experiment in the given area.
Despite having all these strengths, one of the weaknesses of Avinash is his perfectionism and therefore tendency to micromanage tasks. While leading his team, he paid attention to every smallest detail in the pursuit of perfection and consequently ended up doing most of the work himself. This made him work for a longer duration and instilled a feeling of lack of trust among his team members. I gave him the advice to trust his team’s ingenuity and delegate their work. As he worked with the team, he began understanding everyone’s area of interest and assigned them to work based on that.
I sincerely feel that he is the most deserving candidate to get admission to an institute that can offer him betterment for himself, the subject, and the community at once. If he will get this opportunity to learn the subject matter in diverse experiential ways, he may come out with some innovations that this subject needs for a long time.
