Ever since a very young age, I have been intrigued by the subject of biology and life sciences. Coming from a family of doctors, my understanding of the subject has been built on a strong foundation. My keen interest in the subject is also reflected in my academic performance as well. I completed my Class XII with 98% and was amongst the top 2% of academic scholars in Punjab. The scores gave me the opportunity to complete my bachelors degree in Biotechnology from one of the renounced universities in the country- (Name of the University). I learned different fields of study within biotechnology engineering like biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, robotics, genetics, molecular biology, embryology, and chemical engineering.

During the coursework, I’ve also participated in several seminars at top universities wherein I got the opportunity to hear lectures from renowned lectures in biotechnology and science. My zeal and enthusiasm toward the field of biotechnology has only grown over the years. It’s because of this that I decided to pursue MS in Biotechnology from your esteemed university. The lab work and expert faculty at your institution is what has attracted me to apply for your program. Last summer, I was selected for the centre for cellular and molecular biology (CCMB) summer training program. I am proud that I got the opportunity to work under the most famous pioneers in the field of biotechnology. The internship was two months long and some of the major takeaways include confidence, leadership skills, communication skills, organizational skills, technical training, research skills, etc.

Despite being from science background, I've always been inclined toward literature and writing. I never wanted to give up on my passion and so I joined the literary society in XXXX. I am fortunate enough to meet the best authors of our country and show them my work. My work has been featured in numerous esteemed magazines and I've received a plethora of appreciation from some reputable societies and faculty members.

I’ve always been encouraged to prioritize both extracurricular activities and academics. I’ve participated in a myriad of exhibitions, quizzes, olympiads, and competitive examinations in my high school life. I’ve been a part of my college football team and have represented my college at the national level and have been recognized and awarded at several events.

My specific area of interest is in the field of microbiology and biochemistry. The advanced laboratories at your university will help me build my research skills.
