Karlstad University is one of the youngest universities of Sweden. Residence Permit and Residence

  • While applying for the residence permit, which is mandatory for studying in Sweden, the students have to show full availability of funds for their duration of study in Sweden.
  • The university doesn’t offer on-campus housing facility to its students, therefore, the students need to start searching for an off-campus residence as soon as they pay the tuition fee.

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee of the only bachelor’s program offered (in English) is 4,50,000 SEK. For the master’s programs, the fees ranges from 95,000 SEK to 2,45,000 SEK depending on the number of credits the program has, with cost of each credit being 2500 SEK.

Scholarships – Karlstad University Global Scholarship

Karlstad University Global Scholarship is offered to the meritorious students from non Eu/ EEA (and Switzerland) countries. This scholarship covers 20%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee. The amount of scholarship will be specified in the notification for each scholarship holder. The value of the scholarship will be deducted from the tuition cost of the program. The Karlstad University Global Scholarship is not given on living cost and only covers tuition cost of the candidate.

Note that all these scholarships are awarded in fall semester only.
