Karlstad University is one of the youngest universities of Sweden. In 2014, the university was ranked #1 in Sweden by StudyPortals Award for Outstanding International Student Satisfaction, an award which is based on the reviews given by international students in Europe. The university focuses strongly on community collaboration, and for that it has partnered with various private and public companies for their education and research programs.

The tuition fee of the only bachelor’s program offered (in English) is 4,50,000 SEK. For the master’s programs, the fees ranges from 95,000 SEK to 2,45,000 SEK depending on the number of credits the program has, with cost of each credit being 2500 SEK.
Karlstad University Global Scholarship is offered to the meritorious students from non Eu/ EEA (and Switzerland) countries. This scholarship covers 20%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee. The amount of scholarship will be specified in the notification for each scholarship holder. The value of the scholarship will be deducted from the tuition cost of the program. The Karlstad University Global Scholarship is not given on living cost and only covers tuition cost of the candidate.
Note that all these scholarships are awarded in fall semester only.
