Likes
- They do arrange a university event to help students connect with people from the industry.
Dislikes
- Placements in west is a bit different from what we are used to in India. Most of the time students are expected to find internship/placements on their own.
Course Curriculum
- It was a good curriculum and it focused more on practical application.
Admission Experience
- The reason to choose this college was purely based on the course I wanted to do. There were very few universities at that time that offered MSc in cloud computing course.
- IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. They also accept marks from National or State boards except Punjab.
- I used my 12th exam result to quality for English requirement. Requirements depends based on the course you choose. Example Undergrad, post grad or research.
Faculty
- Faculties are really helpful. Professors used to have research assistants who used to help us if we didn't understand a concept.
- They were also present during our computer lab sessions.
Campus Life
- Campus life is chill, there is a wide variety of food outlets. People also join clubs or can join sports.
- Library is big and one get credits to use printer using their student ID. Students can also loan a laptop for academics work from the library.
Part Time Jobs
- One can find off campus jobs in restaurants, care working industry, super markets.
- I used Indeed and LinkedIn to apply. Many companies require you to apply on their own portal.
Placement
- A lot of people didn't get job in desired field and some had to leave the country or had to switch to another visa.
Accommodation
- I used Brinkriley Properties to get a private student accomodation. Rent was about £530/month.
Exams
- Admission form, Statement of purpose, previous academic documents/transcripts, 2 references, IELTS. After offer release, payment of deposit to issue CAS.
Fees
- Don't remember exact fees. Tuition fees was around 20000-21,000 at that time without scholarship.
Scholarship
- I also got a scholarship from the university that drove me to accept the offer.
