Spring 2027 and Fall 2027 Intake:

Intake: Spring 2027 is narrow for postgraduate (PG) applicants. MS Information Systems closes on 1 October 2026. Master of Business Administration (MBA) closes on 15 October 2026. Most engineering MS spring deadlines have passed or fall on 15 September 2026. That timing is tight for a fresh F-1 student visa file. Fall 2027 is the cleaner undergraduate (UG) route, with a final freshman deadline of 7 April 2027.

When to pay: The freshman Advanced Registration Deposit is $125 (INR 11,951), and scholarship-offer retention uses 15 June 2027. Graduate public pages do not publish a standard deposit.

Scholarships: Fall 2027 freshman scholarship consideration uses 15 February 2027. JN Tata Fall 2026 to Spring 2027 and Inlaks 2026 are closed. Next provider deadlines are pending.

Note: Exchange rate used in the articles is 1 United States dollar (USD) = INR 95.61 as of 14 September 2026.

  • Airfare, health insurance, housing deposits, and optional course supplies remain excluded when not priced.

The worked example is MS Computer Science and Engineering with off-campus living. A two-year budget at unchanged current rates is $91,419 (INR 87.41 Lakhs). A INR 50 Lakhs education loan costs about INR 65,000 to INR 70,000 per month over 10 years at 10.5%.

Key Insight: The Fall 2027 total cost can move most through assistantship support, not minor fee timing. A grant-in-aid can cover up to 9 graduate credits, while mandatory and differential fees remain payable.

University of Nevada Scholarships for Indian Students

University of Nevada funding for Indian students is strongest through graduate assistantships and department scholarships. The large listed non-resident freshman awards exclude international students.

Scholarship or funding route Award or support Indian or international eligibility Status and deadline Relevant intake
Graduate assistantships Minimum monthly stipend, insurance support, and grant-in-aid up to 9 credits Open through departments to eligible graduate students Department selection, deadline follows the programme Spring 2027 where open, Fall 2027 by programme deadline

Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students at University of Nevada

The highest confirmed saving lever is graduate assistantship support covering up to 9 credits. Smaller choices matter only after the assistantship and housing decisions are settled.

  • Use Spring 2027 only for MS Information Systems or MBA when documents and visa timing are already ready.
  • Ask the department about assistantship funding before the Fall 2027 programme deadline.
  • Choose off-campus housing only when transport and lease costs beat the $25,268 (INR 24.16 Lakhs) on-campus graduate budget.
  • Exclude Tahoe and Honors awards from the Indian budget because their $12,000 (INR 11.47 Lakhs) combined value is not international-eligible.
  • Section 80E of the Indian Income-tax Act, the education-loan interest deduction, can reduce taxable income after repayment starts.
  • Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) MS routes can use up to 36 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the United States.

Tip for Indian Students: For Fall 2027, assistantship search should start before departmental review. A 9-credit grant-in-aid can change the MS budget more than the $332 (INR 31,743) housing difference.

  • Difficulty level of your course curriculum: Few courses just have a theory but most of the courses have many practical lessons.
  • The positive and negative aspects of your course:
    • Many practical things you have to learn by yourself by watching YouTube and other references but if you're stuck somewhere, the professor or TA of that subject will help you and clear your doubts.

Fees

  • For Masters 1 Semester fee is in between $12k-$15K for 9 credits (3 credits for each subject), 7K-8K for 6 credits (2 Subjects), Overall you have to complete 30 Credits i.e. 10 Subjects and If you are completing the degree then your fee for the course is around $45K-$50K it can vary if you extend your semester or take additions courses.

Instate can be about $5000 or less. Out-state can go up to $15000 (might be including or excluding room and board.) loans are available depending on one's FAFSA form for the school year. Financial aid is reviewed on an individual basis and aid is determined by that. Pell grant, millennium (instate scholarship) are both common ones and depends on the number of credits a student is taking. 12 credits equal full-time status.

In my hometown, I got brochures and info from high school. Online application to fill out. There was a $60 application fee for prospective students too. It can take 3-6 weeks for a denial/acceptance letter. I applied to 2 colleges including the current one. They were both in my home town, one university and one community. Chose because it's Close to home.

Course Curriculum

The course curriculum can be little daunting, but the classes broaden the world view. There's a lot of readings and that goes into the courses, though. I always recommend looking into the professors who teach them since not everyone teaches the same.

Fees

There are construction fees, gym fees, fine fees, tech fees, online learning fees if taking online courses, student health fees, and lab fees. Some are per credit while others are a flat charge.

As a history major, I feel like I'm taking classes that don't prepare me for my major other than giving me global background information. I am actually changing my major if possible because I feel I am not learning enough.

Fees

Our website has a great breakdown of fees and tuition. There are however a lot of small charges that add up.
