- The University has great curriculum, curated and taught by some of the best professors in the field
- The university has 18 colleges underneath it (Engineering, Law, Business) etc.. which provided an environment which is very culturally rich and dense
Dislikes
- They can host top leaders like Jensen Huang, Jamie Dimon etc for sessions with students just like how Stanford, Harvard does
Course Curriculum
- The course syllabus is very much updated to current trends and needs
- The course has a capstone project as part of the curriculum, where you get partnered with top companies like IBM, etc., and build real-life projects
- A typical day would have 2-3 courses for 2 hours each
- On average, we had 120 students in class
Admission Experience
- I wanted an Ivy League University, and I wanted it to be in a city where there is life beyond campus. Columbia University in the city of New York fits perfectly for it
- The admission process is straightforward. Application ends in Feb 15 with standard requirements like SOP, TOEFL, Letter of Recommendations, etc. Decisions are rolled out in April with admissions in August/September..
- I chose Data Science because I developed a deep interest in it through my work experience in India in similar roles
Faculty
- They are very well-versed and highly acclaimed professors in the industry, like Dr Richard Zemel.
Campus Life
- It hosts a large number of events for students to collaborate, organizes fun events, hosts Sport facilities, a gym, etc
Part Time Jobs
- They earn from 18$ to 25% per hour. There are plenty of TA and RA opportunities. The maximum allowed is 20 hours. It can be found through college portals
Placement
- 100% of students secured employment within 6 months of completing their course

- Statement of Purpose, LOR, TOEFL, and GRE are required for admission
