B.Tech Lateral Entry carries the same first-year amount as regular B.Tech. The figure covers the academic year only. Hostel charges, books and one-time deposits sit outside it.

Example: A B.Tech CSE management quota seat costs INR 2,00,000 at counselling. The registration fee adds Rs. 2,500. So the first payment is about INR 2.03 Lakh.

Students often assume the quota seat costs twice as much. The gap is much smaller.

The tuition head is the same on both routes. The State Fee Regulatory Committee sets it under the 2007 Act. The difference sits in one-time heads collected in the first year.

So a management quota seat is not a premium-priced seat. Examination and university fees follow GGSIPU norms for every student.

MAIT Management Quota Registration and Counselling Fee 2026-27

Applications open in both online and offline mode. The online form is filed on portal.mait.ac.in. The offline form is filed on portaloff.mait.ac.in.

The registration-cum-counselling fee is Rs. 2,500. Payment is needed before the counselling date to stay eligible. The receipt has to be carried to campus.

The merit list is built on aggregate Class 12 marks. The entrance rank does not decide the order. Verification still needs the admit card and rank card.

JEE Main, IPU CET, CUET, CAT and CMAT are accepted. Only candidates with a Not Admitted status may attend the counselling. Candidates also carry a notarised affidavit on Rs. 10 stamp paper.

Is Donation Charged for MAIT Management Quota Admission?

No. Capitation fee is an offence under the Delhi Professional Colleges Act, 2007. The Act and its Rules are hosted on the institute website.

MAIT has issued a public notice warning against touts promising GGSIPU seats. The institute runs a Management Quota Admission Monitoring Committee for 2026-27. Queries go to the official admissions email on the MQ page.

Only two payments reach the institute. One is the Rs. 2,500 registration fee. The other is the programme fee by Pay Order or DD.

Any cash demand outside these heads falls outside the notified process.

MAIT Hostel and Mess Fees 2026-27

Hostel charges are the same for quota and counselling seats. The rates run from August 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
