Who Can Apply for VIT-AP BTech?

For VITEEE 2027, students must have passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026, or be appearing in 2027. The usual minimum is 60% together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with at least 50% in Mathematics. A separate 60% PCB rule applies to students taking the Biology paper. VIT allows 50% aggregate for SC/ST applicants and applicants from the specified northeastern states, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. The required certificate must be shown at counselling.

Mathematics-paper applicants can seek VIT-AP engineering branches for which they qualify. Biology-paper applicants can seek Biotechnology, but not CSE or ECE under the 2027 rules.

Regular BTech applicants must take VITEEE. JEE Main, SAT and Class 12 marks do not replace it. The 2027 test has 100 questions in two hours, with four marks for a correct answer and minus one for a wrong answer. Only one attempt is allowed.

VIT-AP branches include CSE and its AI, cyber security and data analytics options, ECE, EEE, Mechanical Engineering and Biotechnology. The available choices appear during counselling. BTech has no management quota.

BBA, MBA, MTech and Research Admission

BBA, BCom, law and science follow separate admission processes and Class 12 requirements. Their 2027 deadlines are awaited.

For the 2026 second-phase MBA process, VIT-AP accepted CAT, XAT and MAT. Applicants with valid June 2026 MAT scores could be called directly for interview. The 2027 MBA dates and score conditions are awaited. MTech and other PG courses have separate degree requirements.

For research applicants, VITREE's January 2027 intake includes VIT-AP. The entrance test is set for 6 December 2026. Academic marks, the test, any applicable GATE or NET score and an interview form part of selection. This January research intake is separate from the BTech cycle.

How to Apply for VIT-AP BTech 2027

  1. Register at viteee.vit.ac.in with the student's own mobile number and email ID.
  2. Enter personal and Class 10 details as shown on the marksheet. Add Class 12 board and subject information, then choose the Mathematics or Biology paper as applicable.
  3. Pay the ₹1,450 application fee, complete the photograph, signature and required document steps, and submit by 31 March 2027.
  4. Use the admit card to attend the assigned test session. After the rank result, enter campus, branch and fee-category preferences in online counselling.

The address entered in the application affects the test city allotted, so it needs to match the proof uploaded. VIT checks Class 12 eligibility after provisional allotment and tuition fee payment. If the student does not meet the rules, the provisional seat will not stand.
