NCERT released the RIE CEE 2027 notification on October 13, 2026, inviting online applications for admission to 4-year integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.A. B.Ed. programs at all five Regional Institutes of Education.

The Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination (RIE CEE) is conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to shortlist students for teacher education programs at RIEs in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong. With the notification now live on cee.ncert.nic.in, eligible Class 12 students can begin their application process without delay.

RIE CEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

You must satisfy all eligibility conditions before submitting the application form. Applications not meeting the specified criteria may be rejected without refund.

Academic Qualification

• You must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board.
• For B.Sc. B.Ed.: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).
• For B.A. B.Ed.: Class 12 with Humanities or Arts stream.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class 12 for General and OBC students.
• Minimum 45% marks for SC, ST and PwD students.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 17 years as of September 30, 2027.
• No upper age limit is prescribed as per recent NCERT norms.

Nationality

• Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
• NRI and OCI students may apply subject to NCERT rules on seat allocation.

How to Apply for RIE CEE 2027

The application for RIE CEE 2027 is completely online. There is no offline mode. Follow these steps carefully to complete your registration.

1. Visit the official NCERT CEE portal at cee.ncert.nic.in.
2. Click on the "New Registration" or "Apply for RIE CEE 2027" link.
3. Register using your name, date of birth, active email address and mobile number.
4. Log in with the credentials sent to your registered email or mobile.
5. Fill in your Class 12 stream, board, year of passing and marks or roll number.
6. Select your preferred RIE institutes and subject combinations in order of preference.
7. Upload scanned documents — photograph and signature in the format specified in the notification.
8. Pay the application fee online via net banking, debit card or UPI.
9. Submit the completed form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
