The Schedule Tribe (ST), Schedule Caste (SC), Minority and Backward Classes Welfare Department of Government of Jharkhand runs an e-portal for scholarships to ensure meritorious economically backward classes students are being assisted by the government. Students are awarded three State scholarship schemes namely, Pre-matric, Post-matric (within state), and Post-matric (outside the state) scholarships. Applicants can apply for these scholarships through the E-Kalyan Portal. A number of government NGOs also offer various scholarships including BCCL Ke Laal and BCCL Ki Laadli, Jharkhand Scholarship.
Latest Update: The application for 20-2021 Post-matric scholarship (Within State & Outside State) has already closed on February 10, 2021.

Jharkhand Scholarship 2021 How to Apply?
Students must register themselves before proceeding for application. Below are the steps guiding students on registration and application for Jharkhand Scholarship schemes:
- Visit the website: ekalyan.cgg.gov.in/
- Students must undergo One-Time Registration, look for the student registration icon and fill in all the basic details
- Students must use their generated id and password to login for a scholarship application form
- Students can upload the scanned copies of the certificates/documents on the portal
- Select the scheme (for students who are below 10th grade must choose pre- matric scholarship scheme and those who are above 10th grade must choose post-matric scholarship scheme and click apply online button
- For post-matric scholarship scheme select whether within the state or outside the state
- Fill in all the details asked in the application form carefully and upload a soft copy of all the documents requested
- Make sure all the details entered are correct and click on the submit button
- Save the system generated print out
- Upload scanned copy application form with student and parent/guardian signature

Jharkhand Scholarship 2021 How to Apply for Scholarship Renewal?
Students are eligible for renewal If the previous year Scholarship Application form already exists and the amount is sanctioned/ released in the e-Kalyan Portal
- Go to the website and type https://ekalyan.cgg.gov.in/ in the address bar.
- Student need not undergo registration process again as they already registered previous year
- Student can log in using id and password
- Check the previous year application status
- Fill the details requested
- Click on the submit button

- Visit E Kalyan Website.
- Sign in using Application ID and Password on the application portal.
- Look for Application Status and check the details
- The scholarship amount will be credited once it passes all the eligibility requirements and documents verification.
- It displays ‘Sanctioned/Success’ once the amount is credited after verification.

E-Kalyan Jharkhand Scholarship Portal Important Facts
- Students are advised to submit Aadhaar linked bank account number while applying otherwise application status shall be displayed ‘pending’ at DWO Officer for the reason being your Aadhaar not- seeded with the bank account.
- Students are advised to submit the right and legal documents
- Students are advised not to submit any wrong documents like income certificate based on agricultural incomes
