The Maharashtra government has introduced an online portal, Maha DBT, for students to apply for various state scholarships. The online portal aims to make the existing process of availing welfare schemes faster, transparent, and reduce leakages. The basic requirement for any student to apply for these schemes is that the student must have a domicile or permanent residence of Maharashtra state. These scholarships are available for both meretricious and underprivileged students of the state. There are more than 40 schemes available for the students to avail. Candidates who want to apply for these scholarships first need to register themselves on the Maha DBT website. The registration process will be completed after email and phone number verification.

Maharashtra Scholarship How to Apply?
Step 1- Online registration
Using Aadhar card
- Visit the Maha DBT Registration Portal: Click Here
- Choose the ‘yes’ option on having an Aadhar card and press continue.
- You can authenticate using a phone number if linked with your Aadhar or use the biometric authentication option.
- Once the authentication is complete, you need to fill in the required details and choose a username and password.
- After filling the form, click on the register option, and a message saying ‘profile created successfully’ will pop up on the screen.
Without Aadhar Card
- Visit the Maha DBT Registration Portal: Click Here
- Click on the ‘no’ option on using an Aadhar card and click on continue.
- A registration form will appear, and you are required to fill in all the details.
- The authentication will be done through both email ID and phone number.
- Once authentication is complete, upload all the documents required and click on register to successfully register yourself.
Step 2 – Login
- Click on the applicant login option on the website. Next, fill in your username and password to login into the dashboard.
Step 3- Applying for Scholarships
- Click on the profile button on the dashboard after registration to complete your profile.
- The candidate needs to fill in Personal Details, Domicile Details, Income Details, Personal Eligibility Details, Caste details to complete the profile.
- Once the profile is 100 percent complete, the candidate will see all the eligible schemes and can apply for the same.
Maharashtra Scholarship Application Status Check
- After the submission of the application, the students can track their status on the applied schemes tab on Maha DBT Portal.
- The students need to visit the applied schemes tab to check their application status.
- The application can be under scrutiny, approved, or rejected, and will be visible under the status bar.
