What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Service, sovereignty and satisfaction”

Seeing my father in the education industry for the past 22 years, I have observed that this is something which really sets apart from different kinds of services. If you are making a career or you are counselling students, out of which he carves his way and chooses a career path in a particular direction, that gives you a particular sort of satisfaction. Education or test prep or training is something which I believe can be considered as the utmost level of contribution you can make as an individual for the betterment of society as a whole.

How would you describe your leadership style?

“Dynamic personal approaches and professional synchronicity”

Leadership can be divided into 2 parts: at personal level and at organisation or institute level. What leadership to me at personal level is, I follow a simple SAVERS Model - Silence, Affirmation, Visualisation, Exercise, Reading and Scribbling. When it comes to an institutional level, it is altogether a different thing. Being in the people industry, leadership is all about reconciliation, that means, I only have to manage people who have the necessary skills which are required in my business, and they will further take the approach. I just have to make sensible coordination between the people where I am working with and have a harmony in their working for the organization.

How have you strategized the Institute’s key programs during the pandemic?

“Umbrella programs under the brand and outsourcing partners”

The disruption that the education sector has needed for a long time is now here, mainly because of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown series in India. Because of that, as a consequence, we have been expanded into various verticals on various diversification of education space including the much needed ed-tech space. There is a systematic plan that we've been following for the past six months now because we have to make our ed-tech space standards well along with the classroom courses. So, irrespective of whatever new vertical or the new program we’re introducing the brand does the half of it and the half of it is done by deploying new marketing initiatives by employing some outsourcing agencies or some outsourced consultants and all sorts of stuff. They give us the road map, the know-how to go about it and help us implement it as well.

How does Allen Career Institute ensure the best development of the students?

“Unsurpassed education services and professional influences”

We are a team of academy ships, so we believe that our core capability or competitive advantage we have in business lies in the academic capabilities that we have, the teachers we have, the academic counsellors we have, and career councils we have. So these people build up our institution and we rely on them completely, irrespective of what phase we are going through or changes in policy by the government in the education system. We have always kept these academic capabilities up to the mark and none of the budding rivals or the competitors can snatch that away from us. The major points we have always talked about and that kept us related to the quality services and education is the focus on the coaching part instead of turning ourselves into a big business and thinking like an educationist instead of a businessman. Students do not care about what brand is associated, but good quality education and at the end of the day they need the result.

What do you think are your roles and responsibilities towards the Institute?

“Large scale diversification and expansion for better reach”

I have joined as a business development professional, and my main job is to expand and diversify business so that we can reach out to students who have not been able to come to us. Thankfully this digital era, which is going now for the past six months, has helped and guided us to go along that way. So as far as my rules are concerned specifically I’m looking after the overseas expansion of business and I’m looking after diversifying into different verticals for the global studies division in which we’re preparing students for a series of GRE or GMAT, and sending them to universities abroad. Doing the consulting right from the profile building, and then LORs and SOPs for the same. Also, we have an early childhood division having a good set of portfolio production, ranging from game based learning to work book boxers to entertainment boxes. Any other new initiative or new venture all related to education and diversification is my cup of tea and primarily my responsibility.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 05 years?

“Global student and best preparations for all”

In the next five years, we are aiming to reach maximum possible foreign students in the classroom program from different countries. Also, we are sweeping the entire script space for any test preparation that is happening in India, whether it’s for Engineering or Medical or Government. Moreover, early childhood programs and decisions which focus on the brain development of a child would be our key areas to work upon in the coming years.

What would you like people to know about your institute that they may not?

“Backend management of academic protocols”

I think the management of the academic team, it may look like we are running simple coaching classes but if you look at the back-end, it is a huge and vast running. From the outside, it may look like working 26 classrooms, 26 centres, but interiorly, we have organized the managing data of 2 lakhs students and 10K+ team members. Especially in the lockdown period, I would give credits to the team, they have worked day and night, in and out to establish this digital education and an entire system of working online. Now, we have established in 26 cities and overseas, managing over 18000 classrooms.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Keep yourself physically and mentally fit”

I strongly recommend that everything is there, that it is worth your life, your education, but it is high time that we need to work upon mental and physical health as well. This life has been brought to us generation after generation, and should be maintained with utmost priority. Keep a balance, do exercise, yoga or any other activity and work on your body and mind capability.
