Mr Sagar Joshi is the Founder and Director of Law Prep Tutorial, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He is a Science and law graduate coming from a humble background. He started preparing students for the Law Entrance Exam to get into NLUs in 2002. He founded the Law Prep Tutorial in 2008 and has been preparing law aspirants to get into NLUs or other prestigious Law Schools. Having guided thousands of students in 19 years, he is one of the pioneers and India’s best aptitude test trainer. His students have achieved top ranks in CLAT every year and have a successful legal career in India and abroad.
What key factors motivated you to join the education sector?
“The ability to provide the right guidance to aspiring students inspires me every day”
I realised the gap between the curriculum of the school education and competitive exam. It needed to be addressed and thus I decided to build a career in this field. I saw a lot of students struggling to meet the criteria set by competitive papers not being addressed anywhere. Students have long been pressured to take traditional subjects and excel in them. This new avenue in the legal field was a great opportunity to motivate and help out students. It’s a matter of pride and motivation that we get to play a role in the success and growth of so many individuals.
What is your philosophy of leadership?
“Our brand’s philosophy has been to accommodate and address students concern”
I have always been a team member with the patience to build a brand with dedication. Our whole team knows that the main concern is to facilitate students experience to learn. In this field, it is extremely important to be emphatic towards young students and the challenges they face. Organisations growth is only possible when individuals associated with the organisation grow too. I believe in creating leaders and not followers. It brings me joy to see so many of my associate and students grow into successful leaders.
How will you plan the marketing and administration of your institute?
“Word of mouth is the best marketing to grow in this field”
Our key programs are centred around satisfied students. More than marketing, it is important that students feel that we have provided them with what we promised. We motivate them to grow, succeed and try to help them in this journey. Being dedicated to solving every challenge which students face is the key strategy.
How does the coaching style at Law Prep Tutorial ensure the best results?
“Adapting to changing courses and patterns of entrance examination is fundamental”
We make sure students can connect with faculties as much as possible. Reasoning based subjects cannot be taught in monologues lectures and thus we ensure interaction during the classes. We want that once the students join us they must enjoy the process of learning. Customizing courses and papers for students facing challenges are addressed in the curriculum.

What has been your vision for the institute?

It has been my vision for a long time to create more awareness about legal education. Today we have centres across India supporting students. We have the highest number of student selections and top ranks.
What are some of the biggest challenges for higher education currently?
“Retaining qualified and experienced faculty is a prevalent challenge”
Finding dedicated people who have the temperament to deal with students and their challenges is important. I think this is the biggest challenge for the education field, be it coaching or otherwise. For any education organisation to succeed people associated must be invested in the success of their students.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the aspiring students?
“Persistence and dedication towards the goals of your life”
Consistent hard work with patience will always lead you to success. There are no shortcuts to success. Dedicated passion and relentless learning are essential to achieve any life goal.
