Rajan Aggarwal is the Founder & CXO at ClearExam, Delhi. He has been mentoring from the last 15 years and helped many students get through in world’s toughest exams like IIT JEE, Medical and Law Entrance Exam. Apart from teaching, his passion is developing efficient, sustainable and scalable models of learning, building products and communication. How would you describe your leadership style?
“Inspiring teammates for doing best in their lives”
Every leader has their own style, there is no one size fits all leadership style. Leaders are people who become a benchmark and aspire their peers to be successful and courageous in their journey. Inspiration can be found anywhere. Anyone who motivates and inspires is a leader.
How does ClearExam ensure the best development of the students?
“Establishing a full proof learning pedagogy”
There are a lot of hiccups while preparing for a competitive exam. I understand the psychology of the students, the challenges they face and the gaps. A major challenge is that people don’t know how to study in a structured manner. One needs a disciplined mind and consistency over a long time. Here we are trying to create artificial intelligence, to help the students. We are working on machine learning; the data will be fed to the system to help with the training of students. It will also help with the follow up doubts that students may have, they will get their doubts solved anytime, anywhere.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the students are?
“Meeting students aim for best learning experience”
My first and foremost responsibility is quality education. Students should get what they are looking for. Students have a clear objective, they want to clear their exams that they are appearing for, their objective should be met. I offer students with all the amenities and learning study material so that there is no stone unturned in their path to success.

What do you think should be ClearExam’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“Technological advancements for better understanding the challenges”
We want to create a good impact, we are challenging ourselves to use technology to create a disruption in the field. We are living in an era where technology can solve many problems that couldn’t be done in the last decades. We are looking to challenge our assumptions, based on the data we want to decide who are the learners, and what their level of understanding is. Data will reveal a number of things and allow us to forcome with the best possible resolutions.
What do you see as your platform’s greatest strengths?
“Quality information and content according to students’ need”
We are not just a coaching institute, we are an ed-tech company, where a lot of entry barriers exist similar to merit based degree colleges. Our resources and strengths have helped us grow organically; our core focus is on learning. The kind of content we publish to lure the customers is unique and engaging. We post relevant information that helps solve student’s problems. Right from Day 1 our website has only preparation related information only.
What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in India?
“Lack of system to teach interpersonal skills”
When we think of the students, who need courses and study material, they always have a certain objective in their mind. It is important to understand how to fill the gaps. There are various skills that are not taught to children, like time management, communication and critical reasoning skills. In the case of entrance exams, these skills are essential. People in India, tell their children to attend school and college, and consider it education. But this is mere learning, not education. In the corporations, they look for graduates from premium colleges, who can contribute to the organisation. We have millions of people who are “educated” but are not good learners.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the aspiring students?
“Have a positive and learning attitude”
It is very common for the students these days to have a bad attitude, their response to situations. People have also become more judgemental and prejudiced, with these once cannot be open to learning. I recommend the students to change their attitude, be more open minded, gain experience and based on that decide on their actions.
