Why did you choose the education sector?
“Being able to interact with students and bond with the young generation has always attracted me”
Aside from being my passion, I have also cleared medical and UPSC entrance exams. After getting an AIR 55 for medicals, I went to two UPSC interviews. I think everyone who is good at studies is inclined towards the education sector. However, I have always wanted to work in the education sector even though I have worked in companies such as HSBC, HDFC and Essel finance at very senior positions. I have always enjoyed interacting with students and bonding with the younger generation. If I can guide any student towards achieving their aim- I will be much delighted. The philosophy behind this has been that an educated person can improve their generations, if country becomes educated India will become sooner become Vishwa Guru.
What is your philosophy of leadership?
“A leader should encourage the team and give decision-making authority to teammates”
As an individual, you should always create leaders, and you should try to become a mentor in the right way. If we are leading a group of 10 people, we should train them, so that each of them has the capacity to replace us at some point. As a vice president, my goal is to have everyone under me be competent enough to replace me if necessary. Yet, I continue to upgrade myself, starting as a president, then becoming a director, and so forth. Because we are only as good as our team, we should focus on making the team competitive.
What are the key plans for marketing and administration for your institute?
“A good word of mouth and positive results”
The marketing department has a very good rapport with our teachers, and YOY results are improving. Our competitors have an edge when it comes to top positions, for example last year's topper came from Aakash institute or FIITJEE, however when it comes to selection percentage we are unbeatable. In classroom me keep15-20 students, however our competitors keep it 50-70 students. Hence the teacher has lesser students to take care, this drastically improves the result of students. In every class of 15-20 students, we guarantee at least 3-4 students will be selected for IITs/medicals and the rest will be able to attend some good colleges; so our success percentage is close to 20-25% which is highest in the industry. Rest all students gets good rank in JEE/NEET, all of them gets admission in good colleges, and certainly these students will have better future.
What is your vision for the institute?
“In next five years we want to reach out to at least 100 locations in India”
Two of our 5-year plans include launching an IPO and the Delhi government's "Jai Bhim Pratibha Vikas yojana" for poor students. We would like to see this happen in all states, no matter if it's a business development project or social welfare project. The academic quality of our teachers is very good even much better than our core competitors. As far as our costs are concerned, we charge a much lower price, so that education can become affordable. Our vision is very clear, we want to provide quality education at an affordable price.

What do you think are the main difficulties faced by coaching or higher education in general?
“Lack of better and adequate employment opportunities”
I feel the biggest challenge these days is unemployment because the job market is in decline. There is a lot of confusion among parents about their ward's future. Parents are very much skeptical about courses before enrolling their kids. You can take an example, there are so many jobless engineers, although there is job, but of inferior salary. So the students don’t accept job and sit idle at home. In my opinion, people without jobs are the ones who don’t want to do a job. Surely, you will not get very high salary, but you will learn a lot from experience. And once you are skilled enough, you can demand salary, Good manpower is needed in the market.
If students in all stream (humanity, commerce, science)start focusing on learning prospective instead of immediate salary, all Higher educational college will never face any difficulty in taking admissions.
How does Takshila institute ensure the best education for students?
“Superb Study Material, Daily Practice tests, best teachers, religiously followup for test-plan and lecture plan, academic videos to understand tough concepts, focus on individual students”
Takshila has a legacy of 23 years, that has helped us develop a system which is needed to clear JEE/NEET/NTSE. As a student, you must adhere to your teachers' instructions in classroom as majority of our teachers are IITians themselves. We offer superior quality study material, daily tests, mobile app, LMS, and videos contents. As long as the student performs these tasks consistently, we can assure his/her admission. We also ensure that students concentrate on their studies by reducing the number of students in a batch. That helps our teachers to focus on individual students.
What piece of advice would you like to give to aspirants?
“Dedication and perseverance are key factors”
My own experience has taught me that there is no competition you cannot crack. I myself cracked AIPMT & AIEEE both, UPSC-Pre/Mains, CAT/MAT with very good rank and percentiles.
Dedicate 2-4 years into studies, so that you have a brighter future. Students should avoid social media and all other distractions. I jokingly say, Miss Nitya today vs Dr Nitya in future, Dr Nitya will have more followers on social media. Hence don’t waste your precious time. No one wants to be associated with loosers, hence first make a name for yourself.
Some students are sharp, others are average, and others are less than average. But hardwork , dedication, and commitment in right direction can help everyone achieve success equally. A student who is dedicated will certainly win.
