Chandraprakash Joshi is a Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at IxamBee. Mr. Joshi has 13 years of senior-level experience in the Banking and Finance sector. He worked as AFO in one of the reputed banks from 2003-2004. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Development Communication and is an MBA as well.
What key factors motivated you to join the education sector?
“Passion to pay back to society by educating students”
In my opinion, to derive the benefits of India’s demographic dividend we need to provide quality education to students. Working with RBI and YES Bank for Microfinance and Financial Inclusion, I have travelled extensively to rural areas in all the major states of the country and realized that online education is the way to make quality education accessible to students of the Bharat.
How would you describe your leadership style?
“I believe in teamwork and growth of everyone”
IxamBee is like a small family and I work to unfold the potential of everyone by bringing the best out of them. However, I work on a mission to make everyone a star in the team. Depending on the requirement I may adopt different methods, sometimes micro-managing and sometimes managing by MIS.
How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your institute?
“We do provide best study material for multiple exams free of cost and it automatically brings marketing values for us”
We are working to make IxamBee Learning Experience outstanding and our users are our best brand ambassadors. As ixamBee is the only platform that provides all mock tests free for competitive exams, this is what brings users to our website. All our website traffic is organic as of today. However, going forward, as the product becomes stronger, we will invest in content marketing using social media. For managing operations, respective team members are empowered.
How does the IxamBee prepare students so that they may be able to crack their respective exams?
“We offer various doubt clearing sessions and best study materials to aspirants”
If I have to give an analogy, I would quote Abraham Lincoln “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe”. To the users, our content is very crisp – short videos of 10-15 minutes and study notes are summaries. As the syllabus is covered in the recorded videos, in the live classes the faculty members are able to spend time in doubt clarification. Using technology, we are, therefore creating personalization in the learning experience.
What are your roles and responsibilities?
“To provide best education and guidance to students”
My only responsibility is to create the best online learning experience for the preparation of government job exams. I play different roles in planning and strategy, team management, as a faculty member and mentor to students to achieve that goal.
What do you think should be ixamBee’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“To bring best business value for the institute by upgrading ourselves”
In the next 10 years, ixamBee will evolve beyond what I can visualize today. However, in the next 5 years, ixamBee is there to become the most loved online learning platform for the preparation of job exams, while helping students of Bharat.

When you co-founded ixamBee, what was your vision for the institute?
“To provide the best education to both rural and urban students who come under our scope”
I, along with Arunima and Sandeep, started IxamBee with a vision to provide quality education to the students of small towns and villages. Three of us come from three different states (Uttarakhand, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh) and have our early education in small towns. Today, ixamBee has reached 7.5 million students and it is the only platform to provide free mock tests to millions of students. Therefore, we are heading in the right direction.
What would you like people to know about your coaching institute they may not know?
“Our strategy to approach any government job exam and definitely our highly qualified faculty”
We help students to realize and unlock their potential to succeed in government job exams. Most of the coaching institutes are flooded with a lot of content that an average student is not able to study. I want students to learn the strategy to crack competitive exams and that is by focusing on one’s strengths. Our faculty members and mentors help students in understanding their gaps and match their potential with the right exam.

“Our teaching staff are our main pillars of strength”
Our biggest strength is our team and its passion to make a difference. The culture of ownership in letter and spirit and the love of IxamBee’s mission is our greatest strength.
What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in general?
“To make students skillful to meet industry demands”
In our country, we have a wide range of opportunities in higher education. Top ranked colleges are preparing “learned professionals” to meet the needs of their respective sectors. However, a large majority of the graduates, including engineers, struggle to get a good job. Higher education needs to work on building more specific skills to meet the industry expectations, which many times becomes tough for them due to the regulations. The coaching industry fills this gap due to its ability to create learning modules as per the changing industry requirements. Therefore, these organizations started adding these questions in their recruitment exams.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
“Plan your path as per your skills and be patient”
In my interaction with today’s youth, I have observed that many of them are getting attracted to quick success. My appeal to today’s youth is to first understand their potential and for that, they need to put in sincere efforts including connecting with the right mentors. Then, they need to plan step by step for their career path. In today’s time, there are more opportunities that also create confusion to students, therefore the need to stay focused is much more today when there are more distractions.
