Ques. AIIMS, Patna has started clinical responsibility from first year MBBS. do you think it is good or bad?

● Top Answer By Puneet Aarya on 06 Jun 23

Ans. By launching clinical responsibility, AIIMS Patna has set itself apart from AIIMS Delhi curriculum which it has been following ever since its establishment. Here are a few benefits of this The medical students will interact with the patients right from the first year resulting in beefing the gap between theory and clinical practice. The one-month compulsory elective posting enables the student to focus on research from the first year itself. Students are required to go to institutes associated with AIIMS Patna and do research. Students are made to take care of a family for the entire MBBS program which builds emphatic and ethics and makes the memorials community connect with the field. Sports and cultural programs have become compulsory and a part of the curriculum. The new curriculum is exciting and dynamic making it a good initiative on the part of AIIMS Patna.Read more

Ques. Is it true that the second generation AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh) are suffering from lack of faculty and hightech medical instruments for MBBS UG course?

● Top Answer By Puneet Aarya on 05 Jun 23

Ans. MBBS from any AIIMS is equally good and anyone who claims otherwise has false information or hasn’t been exposed to the facilities of these peripheral AIIMS. As for the high-tech medical instruments, UG MBBS does not require such equipment and the course is conducted mostly through clinical exposure and not research work. For this, we need enough cadavers, well-furnished labs, OTS, and well-maintained lecture theaters. Every AIIMS provides these top-notch facilities and has excellent infrastructure that promotes a healthy academic environment. The quality of the infrastructure is further proved by the pic below What you see here is a modular OT and a high-tech faculty that is present only in institutes of national importance because of funding from the government. AIIMS faculty recruitment is unique and thus it’s not easy to take in just anyone as a teacher here. Moreover, the faculty shortage does not affect the quality of education. The results of all these AIIMS and the successful doctors they have produce are a testament to their worth and credibility that is almost the same as AIIMS Delhi.Read more

Ques. Which is better for an MBBS, AIIMS Patna, KGMC Lucknow or Grant Medical College, Mumbai?

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 01 Jun 23

Ans. All three insulations, AIIMS Patna, KGMC Lucknow, and Grant Medical College, Mumbai, are well-respected in the field of medicine and have a strong reputation for providing quality education and training to students pursuing an MBBS degree. AIIMS Patna is known for its top-notch infrastructure and other campus facilities and good academics. It’s the most preferable AIIMS after Delhi. KGMC Lucknow is also a decent college though I am not aware of its infrastructure. GGMC Mumbai on the other hand is the best option of the three. Here is why Its prime location plays a big role in making it the better option of the 3 institutes. Mumbai is a much more preferred city than Lucknow or Patna. The patient inflow is diverse and huge enabling you to witness a variety of cases both common and rare in your UG itself. Academic-wise too, this institute gives an edge over other institutes. With a well-structured curriculum and highly qualified professors, you will get an amazing learning experience Great emphasis is given to the attendance and practicals of every subject. In addition to academics, this college is well known for its active extracurricular culture. It has its own Gymkhana at Marine drives in addition to various cultural, and sports events and quizzes. The hostel facilities are also decent as per government standards. There are around 3-4 canteens and food served here is at subsidized rates. The above list is not exhaustive and there are many more points as to why GGMC is a better choice than AIIMS Patna and KGMC Lucknow. Ultimately, it’s your call to make. If you are after the AIIMS tag, go for AIIMS Patna but if you want to enjoy your life along with decent academics then JJ would be the best choice for you.Read more
