AITRC BE AI ML FAQs
Ques. What is the minimum MHT CET percentile to get BE AI ML at AITRC Vita?
Ans. AITRC does not announce a fixed cut-off. Admission is purely merit-based through DTE Maharashtra’s CAP. In recent years, students admitted to BE AI ML at AITRC have typically held MHT CET PCM percentiles between 60 and 88. Candidates with scores high enough for premier Pune colleges usually prefer those, making AITRC a strong option for students in the 65 to 85 percentile bracket.
Ques. Is BE AI ML at AITRC Vita a DBATU autonomous programme?
Ans. Yes. AITRC is an autonomous institution affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere. As an autonomous college, AITRC conducts its own examinations and sets syllabi within the DBATU academic framework. Students receive the BE degree awarded by DBATU, which is recognized for postgraduate admissions and government service examinations across India.
Ques. Which companies recruit from AITRC engineering programmes?
Ans. Placement drives at AITRC have included companies such as Tata Motors, Larsen and Toubro, John Deere, Kirloskar Group, Bharat Forge, and JSW Steel. These companies primarily recruit for manufacturing, operations, and IT support roles. BE AI ML graduates may also participate in Pune-based IT and analytics company off-campus drives alongside campus placement opportunities at AITRC each academic year.
Ques. What hostel facility is available at AITRC Vita for outstation students?
Ans. AITRC Vita provides separate hostel facilities for male and female students on its 15-acre campus. Hostel charges are not included in the INR 4,98,000 programme fee and are billed separately. Campus facilities include a canteen, sports ground, gymnasium, and digital library. Vita is 35 kilometres from Sangli city and is accessible by road and regular bus services from both Sangli and Kolhapur.
Ques. Are government scholarships available for BE AI ML students at AITRC?
Ans. Yes. Eligible students can apply for the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scholarship covering 50% of annual tuition for EBC open-category students, the Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship for OBC and SEBC students, and the GoI Post-Matric Scholarship for SC students. Girl students can apply for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship of INR 50,000 per year. Applications are submitted via mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in after admission.
Ques. Can I do lateral entry into BE AI ML at AITRC after a Diploma in AI ML?
Ans. Yes. Holders of a Diploma in AI ML or a related engineering discipline from an MSBTE-recognised institute are eligible for direct admission to the second year of BE AI ML through DBATU’s lateral entry process. DTE Maharashtra conducts a separate CAP round for lateral entry candidates. AITRC also offers the Diploma in AI ML, so students can potentially complete both programmes on the same campus.
