AITS B.Tech Lateral CSE FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between B.Tech Lateral Entry (CSE) and regular B.Tech (CSE) at AITS Udaipur?
Ans. The regular B.Tech (CSE) is a 4-year programme starting from the 1st year, open to Class 12 (PCM) students. The B.Tech Lateral Entry (CSE) is for diploma holders who directly join the 2nd year of the B.Tech programme, completing the degree in 3 years instead of 4. Both programmes lead to the same RTU-affiliated B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering. The lateral entry route saves one year and is more cost-effective for diploma engineers who want to upgrade their qualification without repeating the foundational year.
