DMCE Admission Process

DMCE BE admissions are fully governed by DTE Maharashtra’s Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The college also fills a smaller Institute Level (IL) quota directly.

BE Admission

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Physics, Chemistry, Biology for AI/DS), with at least 45% aggregate for General Category (40% for reserved categories)
  • Entrance Exam: Valid MHT-CET score or JEE Main score
  • Process: Online registration on DTE Maharashtra portal, document verification, choice filling, CAP seat allotment (3 rounds), reporting to college
  • IL Quota: Remaining seats filled through DMCE’s own merit list after CAP rounds

MHT-CET 2025 closing percentile for General Category in Round 1 was approximately 92.85 percentile for Computer Engineering, 91.55 percentile for IT, and 73.45 percentile for Civil Engineering. Aspirants targeting Computer or IT branches should aim for a high MHT-CET score. Cutoffs for the 2026 cycle are expected to be in a similar range.

ME Admission

  • Eligibility: BE/BTech in a relevant discipline with at least 50% aggregate
  • Entrance Exam: Valid GATE score or MAH-ME-CET score
  • Process: DTE Maharashtra CAP for ME, followed by IL quota allotment

Ph.D. Admission

PhD candidates must hold an ME/MTech degree with 55% marks. Admission is through University of Mumbai’s doctoral entrance process, followed by DMCE’s departmental interview and research proposal review.

DMCE Placements

DMCE conducts on-campus placements through its Training and Placement Cell. The highest offer in the 2024 placement season stood at INR 12 LPA. The median UG salary as per NIRF 2025 data submission is INR 5.5 LPA, and for PG graduates it is INR 4.8 LPA.

Note: Placement figures are based on data submitted by the college to NIRF and on student-reported outcomes. DMCE’s placement rate is approximately 60 to 70 percent of eligible students.

Computer Engineering, IT, and AI/Data Science branches draw the strongest recruiter interest. Core engineering branches (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical) see placements primarily in manufacturing and infrastructure firms.

DMCE Campus and Infrastructure

DMCE is situated in Airoli, Navi Mumbai, a well-connected node on the Thane-Belapur Road and the Central Railway network. The campus houses departmental laboratories equipped for electronics, computing, and core engineering disciplines, along with a central library and student activity spaces.

The college has a teaching and support faculty of 158 staff members. Departments run project labs, software development centres, and a dedicated centre for entrepreneurship activities. The NAAC-A accreditation reflects the institution’s performance on teaching-learning resources and student support infrastructure.

Hostel facilities are not available on campus. Students typically opt for private paying-guest (PG) accommodations available around the Airoli and Ghansoli areas, which are well-served by public transport.

DMCE vs Fr. CRIT vs Pillai College of Engineering

Aspirants shortlisting private engineering colleges in the Navi Mumbai region often compare DMCE with Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology (Fr. CRIT) in Vashi and Pillai College of Engineering in New Panvel. All three serve a similar applicant pool of Maharashtra-based MHT-CET students seeking Mumbai-area engineering education.
