The college's placement drive attracts prominent companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, HCL, Amazon, HDFC, ITC, and Byju's, alongside several smaller firms. Eligible students can begin participating in placements from their 5th semester, with a policy limiting them to one job offer unless a subsequent offer doubles the salary package. Recent placements featured Cerner offering a 6.2 LPA package to 12 students, while other offers came from Keros (4 LPA) and TCS, Mindtree, and IBM (3.5 LPA).
Out of 50 students, 28 secured placements, and in 2023, 8 students were placed with top packages ranging from 7 to 8 LPA. Although B.Tech students have robust placement support, MCA students experience less extensive services, though some have secured positions with companies like IBM and Jaro Education. The college provides a freeship scholarship that can cover up to 100% of semester fees, except the first semester. During the reviewer's tenure, fees included Rs.
48,000 per semester, Rs. 1,200 per semester for exams, an admission fee of Rs. 76,650, and a one-time library fee of Rs. 2,000. Students are encouraged to apply for the freeship early to maximize benefits. Additional financial aid options include the Vivekananda SVCM scholarship and government scholarships like SVMCM. The college's PNB branch offers education loans typically against assets; however, loans can also be obtained via the Vidhya Lakshmi portal without asset collateral.
Despite available financial assistance, the overall cost is viewed as high, especially when considering placement opportunities compared to other institutions like those in Bangalore or VIT.
