Ques. What is the difference between B.Tech (4-year) and B.Tech Lateral Entry (3-year) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering?
Ans. B.Tech (4-year) is a full undergraduate programme starting from first year, while B.Tech Lateral Entry (3-year) is designed for diploma holders or students who have completed first-year engineering from other universities. Lateral entry students join directly in the second year, completing the remaining 2 years of the programme. Both programmes have the same curriculum for the common years and lead to the same B.Tech degree. Lateral entry is ideal for diploma holders who want to pursue a B.Tech degree efficiently without repeating the first year.

Ans. Students can choose from multiple honours programmes including Applied Signal Processing, Computer Networking, and Advanced Telecommunications. Ques. What is the fee structure for B.Tech Lateral Entry Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering?
Ans. The total academic fees for B.Tech Lateral Entry Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is INR 5.41 Lakhs for the entire 3-year duration (as per 2026-27 fee structure). This works out to approximately INR 1.80 Lakhs per year. Hostel fees are optional and charged separately. The application fee is INR 2,000 (non-refundable). Refund policy follows UGC guidelines with 100% refund (minus processing fee) if cancellation is done 15 days or more before the last date of admission.
