N.B.K.R. Institute of Science and Technology (NBKRIST) is a self-financing educational institute imparting quality education in various engineering disciplines. It was established in 1979 in Vidyanagar, Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh. The institute has received autonomous status and is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Anantapur.

N.B.K.R. Institute of Science and Technology offers undergraduate level engineering degree programs in the disciplines of Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics and Information Technology. The total intake for the B. Tech programs is 960 students with 30% of the same being filled by the college Management.

Candidates applying under Management Quota (Category-B) can apply online or download the application form from the institute website.
Category-B candidates can also collect the application form from the institute admission cell by paying the requisite application fee.
Only candidates who have passed 10+2 from science stream or have engineering Diploma are eligible to apply for the B. Tech courses.
Candidates applying for Lateral Entry seats must apply with a valid EAMCET score. Candidates without EAMCET score are not eligible under any circumstance.
Category-B candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying examination.
EAMCET candidates are allotted seats on the basis of EAMCET rank subject to meeting the requisite eligibility criteria and fulfilling all EAMCET norms.

N.B.K.R. Institute of Science and Technology, Vidyanagar offers undergraduate level engineering degree (B. Tech) courses in the disciplines of Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, and Information Technology. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects and minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Prospective candidates may apply online through the EAMCET website and fill the online application form. Candidates who qualify the EAMCET entrance test must register for web-counseling through the same website. For Management quota seats, candidates can fill the online application form available at the institute website under the ‘Admission’ tab.

Key Points for B.Tech Admission:

Candidates with a 3-year engineering Diploma are eligible to seek admission to B. Tech courses through Lateral Entry.
Candidates seeking admission to Category-B seats may pay the application fee through cash deposit made to the institute’s Andhra Bank / SBI account, details of which are available on the institute website.
Application fee for Category-B seats is INR 500 irrespective of the applicant’s caste/ status.

NBKR Institute of Science and Technology Application Process 2021

The Institute offers admission to B.Tech through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 70% of the total intake of the institute is filled through EAMCET counselling. The remaining 30% seats are filled by the Management of the college.

Counselling Process

Candidates with a valid EAMCET rank (after declaration of result) must visit the nearest Help-line Centers for documents verification.
Once the verification process is complete, candidates must fill the Option Form handed out to them along with a list of colleges, course options and their respective codes.
In the Options form, candidate must mention his/her selections according to priority. Applicant is allowed to choose as many options as desired.
Candidates wishing to seek admission to NBKR Institute of Science and Technology must enter the college code NBKR in the first priority column.
Candidates wishing to change his/her preference of college and/ or course can visit the Help-line center on a pre-notified date (published on EAMCET website) and make their final selection before declaration of merit list.
After declaration of Merit list, candidates must download the allotment letter and report through Self-reporting system and also at the institute to book their seats and pay the admission fee.

Self-attested photocopies of the following documents must be submitted at the time of counselling/ admission:

Marks statement of SSC/ Intermediate or equivalent exam
Study/ Bonafide Certificate from III to X Class and Intermediate

For Management Quota: Candidates seeking admission to Category ‘B’ seats may apply directly through the institute website by filling the online application form. The application fee can be paid using online payment modes such as card payment, internet banking etc. Applicants for Category B seats do not need to attend EAMCET counselling.

1. Good aspect of our college is the high quality of teaching from phd and doctorate holders. And costly equipment laboratories in our Nellore district and our college is affiliated to jntua and appreciated by naac, ugc, aicte, NBA., etc. And it's having a very cool and peaceful environment with fresh air. No noise and air pollutions in our college. Actually no bad aspects of our college. 2. Eamcet exam has been held from 22 April to 25 April and the announcement of ranks on 5 May 2018. After that, I went to college for admission and I did web options for nbkrist mechanical and ece, and lucky I got mechanical engg. 3. Reason was the best teaching faculty with phd and doctorates, and coolest environment for studying and laboratories and facilities which was provided nbkrist. 4. I searched about nbkr institutes of science and technology on google and I saw collegedunia.com website and there I found a lot of information about this college and I read reviews also. That's why i selected this college.

And it is the only Autonomous college near to my home with best on class Laboratories and with the biggest workshop, I had ever seen. This institute has every facility for an engineering aspirant should have. Moreover, I also have the biggest library with a collection of more than 10 lakhs books. N.B.K.R has best in class faculty who are well trained in their fields. They not only teach subjects but also encourages the students to participate in other activities too. This college also contains different students maintained clubs, where students can share their knowledge with their fellow students or seniors. N.B.K.R is providing courses for 7 branches like CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Civil, IT, EEE and AI. The admission criteria are 80% of seats were filled using APEMCET and the rest 20% with Management quote. ECE, EEE and CSE are the top courses.
