Not sure about overall NIFT FD students but my batch had less than 50% placement. Highest offered by shahi and myntra went to 30k in hand. Assistant designer, illustrator, graphics are the key roles offered. The internship was 100% and in major companies across India like Shahi exports Faridabad and Bangalore, FLF Bangalore and many more of these strata like Paramount export Delhi etc.

NIFT has a common placement schedule for all the 16 campuses at the selected venues of NIFT where companies register for campus placements offering job vacancies. There was a time when NIFT had 100% placement record but it is facing significant drop in campus placements in recent years. In 2019 the placement record fell drastically to 37%. This is perhaps due to the increasing no. of campuses and competition. But a huge no. of students get placed through off campus drives as well. In NIFT, internship is the part of the course curriculum, this is for the students to get exposure of the industry but having said that, NIFT does not play any role to allot companies to the students for the internship program. It is the students who contact the companies directly for internship and fetch it for themselves. There are two mandate internship program undertaken by the students according to the curriculum. The NIFT placements happen at only 5 out of 16 the NIFT centres. Many MNCs and famous design houses come for the recruitment. Yes, NIFT provides internship facilities. Placement is also very good. They give placement in big companies. We had campus placement. We had interview with big companies like Aditya Birla, BlackBerry, miss chase, Sahi exports, Bombay dying, miss chase, pale jeans, etc. Even we have so many other companies for our placement.

Yes, they provided internships in the best companies. I had my internship in the ministry of handloom and the handcraft department of Odisha governments. I went to clusters for developing my knowledge.but they have no stipend facilities but other companies have a stipend.
