How to move on?
4th year student of vit vellore.I had got chance in a lot of colleges other than vit. I had even got a seat in Bits. But my parents rejected Bits because according to them cse core was the best branch in the world and since I had got seat cs in Vellore, Vellore it was. Biggest regret of my life. Now placements have started and they are shortlisting only 9 pointers. I am an 8.8 pointer and am getting hardly shortlisted. Wells Fargo which takes a lot of students from BITs can't even let non 9 pointers apply. 6 lpa is a dream package over here. I still can't get over this trauma. The thought that things could have been better still haunts me. Can anyone give any suggestions?
bhai ab to bohot der ho gayi
1, try off campus but tbh bhot competition hai
2, Gate / CAT ek aur very competitive path
I think you should work towards what matters. At the end of the day what's gone I gone and it is normal to forget your priorities in these times. If you can then you should try studying for whatever placements you get and then try to upskilled from there. If it is too overwhelming then I suggest visiting a counsellor.
All is well, Sab achha hoga, ghar wale ya close friend se baat karo
GATE CS
But it's still better than vit. Less than 200 placed overall out of 4 campuses with overall 10k students. Blacklists students from placements for the smallest of reasons. Forcefully makes us do projects in each and every subject. Within 15 minutes we have to give biometric or else attendance won't be registered. My project faculty is forcing me to write a research paper. Lab assessments every week. Less than 75 percent attendance not allowed for exams.

it's okay don't regret your choices nothing ever comes out of it, let's try to make the best of us from what we can, did you try applying off campus? 8.8 is a solid gpa, I hope you can bag a really nice package!
Regretting and thinking what it could've been isn't the right thing to do. Whatever passed has passed and won't return. Good thing is that whatever you're facing right now will pass as well. So yeah. I'm not in a place to give much advice regarding placements and all. I wish you all the best
more power too you
