- Wish there was more support from career centre. It would have certainly saved from a lot of the struggle that we had to go through. Apart from this there isn’t any other specific thing that I disliked.
Scholarship
- Yes, I did receive the scholarship called the Eiffel scholarship sponsored by the french government. The criterion is that you have to be an international student and then there are other income criteria in the application form.
- There should be a well-presented form and also a motivation letter. The university helps you with it. I don’t know anyone else who received it. During my year, around 350-400 people received it, as I had seen the list. It was 1181 euros at the time per month.
- I got an accommodation opted for by my scholarship agency. It was off campus and it was 3 tram stops from the university so not very far, as it took around 10-12 mins.
- The monthly rent was 250 euros and it included all the facilities with a shared kitchen and private washroom. The university also helps you find accommodations across the city. So you can directly contact the university before reaching here. Indians are spread across the city.

- Professor quality is among the top in their field from Europe/ France. Well published PhDs.
- The school facilities are great. Quality of classrooms, free printouts, the lunch/ cafe/ vending machines help you not leave campus unnecessarily. Bloomberg lab available.
- All academics has a practical element in terms of teaching and projects. The projects add to the grade as well. It is not just rote learning or theory.
Dislikes
- It is more on the expensive side of schools. Cafe food is on the expensive side as well.
- Only the MFE program is ranked in the financial times, and not the others. The reputation as a target school is mostly for MFE, and not MIF (or others)
- MIF student quality will not be the best. It is not specialised and often overlooked by local students who will do the MIM program or preparation courses. They prefer to get into corporate finance or financial engineering.
Scholarship
- 15% academic excellence scholarship (automatic without application). Amount was close to 4000 euros.
- A 10% scholarship is common. There are other scholarships from the school or the government like CHARPAK, LEGRAND, etc., which are posted on their websites when available. They are usually all available very early (before january).
- Let's say 50%+ of students receive at least 10%. The best students receive 50%. LEGRAND AND CHARPAK, ETC. are highly selective because they are not limited to the school but are France-wide. A couple of students every year from each school approx.
- If you enrol early by February, you can get help from the International Students office for accommodation. They have tie-ups. That is how I got my accommodation. Otherwise, the best source is STUDAPART. They charge heavy fees, but it is reliable and can act as a guarantor as well.
- Bed, proper bathroom, microwave and stoves. Cabinet. Mattress as well. For my accommodation, even a balcony. Sometimes, depending on the building, there may be laundry facilities, a gym, a common area, and vending machines. My rent was 650 euros. I got a subsidy of 190.
- This is a tourist destination in the summer, so accommodations are expensive and get booked very fast.
- Get an admission early and use the help from the student office. It is a challenge otherwise.
- My accommodation was 20 minutes away by tram. Most indian students stayed close to the campus, which was just 5 minutes away.

- I don’t have much idea about scholarships but I believe EDHEC provides 10-20 percent off on the fee structure depending on your profile. I only heard of one of my fellow students getting a scholarship of 10 percent.
- For getting further to know about scholarships, I believe checking out EDHEC website or contacting their admission team would be much better.
- EDHEC has partnered agencies for accommodation. I applied through that. There are other online platforms and real state agents but since I was coming for the first time in France, I trusted EDHEC's partner agency.
- My rent was 515 euros for a room of 10 square meters. Living in Croix or Roubaix(near to EDHEC campus), the rent can vary from 400-700 euros. I had my private room with a private bathroom but the kitchen was shared among 8 people.( you can have a studio also for a private kitchen too).
- The challenge one could face is getting electricity connection start as you have to communicate in French with the operator. Some partners do it for you but it’s not always the case. My recommendation would be live in or near the campus as you have to go everyday.
- Living in Lille city can be more attractive but daily travel would be tiring. I loved inside the campus so it was not the issue(tip: if you want to stay in campus residence, apply early).

- There are three types of scholarships: the first is given by EDHEC around 10% 15% or 25% depending on your profile. Secondly there is Eiffel excellence scholarship, the college has to select you and apply on your behalf to get this scholarship from the French government around 1100 Euros per month for the whole academic Year.
- Lastly there is Charpaak scholarship it is around 5,000 Euros per year also there is one more Co-finance scholarship which gives 50% of your tuition fees. On an average around one person gets eiffel scholarship, lot of people get the EDHEC scholarship and Charpaak and Co finance depends
- In campus accommodation for the first year and the monthly rent was around 550€. EDHEC will help you if you choose to stay on campus but for the second year of Masters you are not allowed to stay there.
- You can only stay off campus and I stayed in Roubaix, 20 mins walk to the campus. The rent was ~500€. I would recommend for students to stay in campus for 1st year and off campus in Roubaix/Croix or Lille in the 2nd year

- For accommodation Edhec helps all the students send a pdf to students that have the details of all the accommodations with rent and photos and every detail. Edhec has its international Students Office (ISO) that is very helpful and helps in everything so finding an accommodation is very easy.
- My monthly rent is 490 euros but in France you get a housing allowance from the government that is CAF and some part of the rent is sent back to you. A separate room with a shared kitchen and shared washroom and a washing machine.
