Likes
- I like everything about the university like academics, curriculum, teaching methods by the professors.
- The exam difficulty is of high level which I personally enjoy.
Dislikes
- The only drawback is the professors want the students to do their master thesis only in the university and reject all offers from the company.
- The topics available in the university are too advanced and takes 1-2+ years to complete. This will have a great impact on any students life as it delays their MS degree and face issues for full-time job search, monthly expenses, and visa extensions.
- Therefore, I would suggest anyone to prefer other universities.
Course Curriculum

- Not updated for the current job market. I heard they the university is planning a few changes to adapt the syllabus to the AI surge.
- I was more job oriented in my MS degree. If a student wants, there is a lot of scope for research in any of the four sectors in EEIT MS degree.
- There would be 1-3 lectures per day usually 1.5 hours per session starting from 7:30 AM to 4 PM. I only attended the lectures for the first 2 months and then decided to learn and write the exams by myself. So, lecture are not mandatory to learn the subject.
- We had 30 students in our class.
Admission Experience
- This course has 4 specializations, and we have the opportunity to choose any field as our career path. We would have a wide band of job sectors open to us, like power electronics, renewable energy, systems & automation, medical automation, and data science.
Faculty

- I don't know the ratio. The faculty does not allow students to do their master's thesis outside the university, and it will delay their degree for at least 1 year. They are not easily approachable and often reply with disappointing messages. No one had any impact on me; my answers are from my observations and stories of our batchmates.
Campus Life

- Excellent - many sports clubs, library, Weekly student parties, and annual events for different communities are organized in the university's seminar halls.
Part Time Jobs
- Hourly earnings are according to the minimum wage rules. Approach consultancies like Randstad and Piening, etc., as they will provide part-time opportunities in various plants or industries around Magdeburg. Max 40 Hours. Highly difficult; no one should rely on them. 1-2 out of 50 Students.
Placement

- EEIT has a wider range of job sectors open than the other courses, like CEE, DE, and DKE at OVGU. Despite the scope, it takes 1-3 years to get a job. Only 10-15% of the students get a full-time job in the first 6 months. 80% of the students will definitely get an internship in 1-2 years, and getting a full-time job will take 1+ years.

- Wobau Magdeburg can provide accommodations. 250 Euros per month for 3 shared apartments with 30 sq. metres area, common kitchen and bathroom, electricity and heating costs included.
