Admission to UG Courses to be done online, says WBCHSE

The West Bengal Higher Education Department has declared that this year, admission to Undergraduate courses will be done through the online mode. 

The class XII Higher Secondary Result 2020 was declared today afternoon by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or WBCHSE. Students are now looking forward to preparing themselves for college admissions.

Acknowledging the current coronavirus scenario, the state government has come to the decision to call off offline counseling. Having offline counselling sessions is a considerable health hazard since it would risk the transmission and spread of the infection.

The West Bengal Higher Education Department announced that the admission to all UG courses in the state-funded higher educational institutions for the next academic session will be conducted online. This will be in effect from 10th August. 

The official notification stated that the eligible candidates would not be asked to come for counseling or verification of documents during the admission process. All eligible candidates would receive emails from college and all testimonials will be uploaded online during verification. The documents will be verified only when the students report for the classes in due course.
