Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP), has released the revised schedule of SSC exams on its official website. The time-table provided on the website suggests that Class 10 board exams will begin from July 10, 2020, and continue until July 17, 2020.
Thus, students appearing for the BSEAP SSC exams are requested to visit the official website of the board (i.e. bseap.org) for detailed information on the revised schedule.
The pending exams which were initially scheduled to be held in March were postponed due to elections in local bodies. However, it stretched further for nationwide lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 crisis.
Arrangements for Exam Centers and Seats
State Education Minister, Audimulapu Suresh of Andhra Pradesh Government has clarified regarding absolute maintenance of strict regulation to prevent transmissions of COVID-19 disease.
He further stated all necessary precautions and guidelines have been considered while selecting 4000 exam centres for students. It was also affirmed that 10-12 students will be seated in a single room. The exams will be conducted in the morning session from 9:30 am.
The government has arranged for about 8 lakh masks to be distributed to the students appearing for the exams.
Additionally, as many as 1022 exam centres will be allotted for Open School Examinations. Andhra Pradesh Open Examinations will also be conducted following all precautionary measures.
BSEAP Exam Updates from the Review Meeting
While addressing the review meeting, the Education Minister clearly pointed out that none of the examination centres has been selected in containment zones. About 4,154 exam centres have been identified so as to accommodate 10-12 students in one room.
As a precautionary measure, sanitisers will be provided at exam centres and hand gloves for invigilators. As stated above, 8 lakh face masks are to be circulated among students appearing for the Class 10 AP board exams.
More than 4500 thermal scanners have been provisioned at the exam centres to check temperatures of students and staff.
If new cases surface at or around examination centres, the area will be marked as a containment zone. In that case, alternative locations will be allotted and so department officials have been advised to be ready with such arrangements for emergencies.
