The Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal under the SAMARTH-e Gov portal for admission to undergraduate (UG) programmes has been launched by the Assam Government.

New Delhi: The state government of Assam has established the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal as a step towards streamlining the admission procedure for undergraduate study in colleges throughout the state. Ranoj Pegu, the education minister, officially opened the eSamarth portal in the presence of Dr. Nani Gopal Mahanta, the education adviser.

The Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal, created under the direction of Samarth eGov, intends to streamline and organise the admissions processes for Assam Universities and Government-aided institutes in the state. The portal is an easy-to-use platform to speed up the application process.

The Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal has formally opened its virtual doors and is accessible at @assamadmission.samarth.ac.in. The portal can be used by the students to apply for admission to various State Universities and Government-aided institutes to submit their applications and check the progress of their enrollment.

The "Society for Advancement of Multiple Activities and Rehabilitation through Technology and Humanity," also known as Samarth eGov, has been in the forefront of putting cutting-edge solutions in place in the education sector. The University Information Management System Project was created by Samarth eGov in partnership with the Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and the Ministry of Education (MoE).

For universities and higher education institutions (HEIs) countrywide, this project acts as an automation engine. The Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal provides students with a number of advantages, such as a centralised application submission platform, real-time admission status monitoring, and access to crucial details about various courses and schools.
