Bhattadev University set to begin online admission process

Bhattadev University in Bajali is set to begin the online admission process for the year 2020-21 for undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate diploma courses.

Bhattadev University has started inviting applications for admission to government-aided free courses for BA (Honours) in Assamese, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science and Sanskrit.

Among the B.Sc courses for which admission is open are Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology.

The institute has started issuing applications from 16 July.

The university is also set to introduce a BA (Honours) course in Mass Communication and Journalism this year.

Currently, the university offers two postgraduate programmes across five subjects: MA in Assamese and Geography and M.Sc in Zoology, Mathematics and Physics. It also offers postgraduate diploma courses in Computer Application, Assamese Journalism and Tourism and Travel Management. All the postgraduate courses are self-financed. Admission to these courses will begin after the end-semester results are declared.

All courses of the university follow the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), so candidates are required to generate IDs by visiting the DHE website. Information related to admission may be found on the university website.

Selection will be based on merit; however, the reservation policy of the state government will be adhered to. It must be noted that all online admission will be provisional until verification is carried out.
