KOLKATA: The council for Indian School Certificate Examinations has asked the affiliated schools in Kolkata to submit the progress reports with feedback on online teaching.

As the lockdown is imposed since March 2020, all the education institutions have been operating via digital mode. All the educational institutes across Kolkata are to submit their curriculum and hardships experienced during online teaching by November 11, 2020.

CICE is planning to frame the questions for board exams 2021. CISCE has prepared a questionnaire which has been updated twice from last July.

Chief Executive Gerry Arathoon has asked the schools to fill in the two questionnaires with current status of the syllabus.

Since the digital mode of teaching cannot cover up practicals, the syllabus has been reduced. Schools are to submit the assessment and evaluation reports as well.

Gerry further remarked that it is vital for CISCE to overview the work completed in the academic session for preparing the questions for ICSE and ISC examinations.

School Principals are to give a detailed report of the assessments and examinations conducted and give their feedback for online teaching.

The council is preparing for preventive measures for uncertainty that could be faced in the next year examinations. The questionnaire will give a better understanding for various plans that can be operated in the pandemic situation.

One of the School principals also mentioned the execution of the plan will depend on this feedback.
