Coffee Board of India, Bengaluru has started applications for PG Diploma in Coffee Quality Management (PGDCQM). The application process will be offline and applicants will need to download the application from the official website; indiacoffee.org.

The course is made for coffee lovers who would like to make a career out of it. The students who enrol in the course are trained with the knowledge and skills expected of a connoisseur. The last date to apply for the course is December 11.

PGDCQM 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the course, the candidates should make sure that they meet the following eligibility criteria.

  • The applicant should have a bachelor degree with should have at least one of the following subjects-- Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Biotechnology, Bioscience, Food technology/Science, EVS
  •  An applicant with a bachelor in Agricultural Sciences can also apply
  • The board will give first preference to applicants who are sponsored or have recommendations from organizations who deal in export or curing of coffee

PGDCQM 2021: Steps To Apply

The application process for the course is offline and the candidates will need to download the application form from the website of the board. Applicants should follow the given steps to apply for the course.

  • Visit the official website of the coffee board; indiacoffee.org
  • Download the application form by clicking on news and selecting the PGDM course
  • Alternatively, you can visit the Coffee Board of India, Bangalore and collect the form personally
  • Fill in all the requisite details and paste your photo
  • Send that form to the Coffee Board, Bangalore, or submit it personally
  • Also, make sure to enclose a demand draft of INR 1500 or pay through NEFT
  • Foreign applicants who apply should be versed in English and be cleared by the government

PGDCQM 2021: Course Details 

The course is divided into 3 semesters over a duration of 12 months. Applicants can avail of accommodations at the institute only for the first semester.

The course content includes Post-harvest management and practices, Coffee cultivation practices, Roasting and brewing techniques, Coffee Quality Evaluation, Quality assurance systems, and Marketing and Trade.
