CSAB has extended the CSAB NEUT 2026 Round 1 seat acceptance fee payment and willingness submission deadline to August 6 2026 at 5 PM. Allotted candidates must complete the process at csab.nic.in to confirm their seats.

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has extended a key Round 1 deadline. The change applies to the CSAB North Eastern States and Union Territories (NEUT) 2026 counselling. It covers the seat acceptance fee payment and the willingness submission step. The new last date is August 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates must complete both steps on the official portal at csab.nic.in/csab-neut.
The extension gives allotted candidates extra time to confirm their seats. It comes as the Round 1 reporting window opens for participating institutes. Candidates who miss the revised deadline may lose their allotted seat.
The CSAB NEUT process is meant for candidates from North Eastern states and Union Territories. It allocates seats in participating institutes across these regions. This stream runs separately from the CSAB Special Rounds for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

What Are the Willingness Options?
Every allotted candidate must pick one willingness option to stay in the process. This choice decides how the next round treats the current allotment. Skipping this step will cancel the allotted seat automatically.
- Float: Accept the current seat but stay open to a better branch or institute.
- Slide: Accept the current seat but seek a better branch in the same institute.
- Freeze: Accept the current seat and exit further rounds.
- Withdraw: Give up the allotted seat and exit CSAB NEUT counselling.
The CSAB NEUT stream serves candidates from North Eastern states and Union Territories. Extensions on payment windows are rare and usually granted for connectivity or portal issues. The added hours help candidates in remote areas avoid losing their Round 1 seat.
