The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has declared the Special Round 1 seat allotment result 2026. The result is live on the official portal at csab.nic.in. Candidates can also view their status through the login page at admissions.nic.in.

The deadline for submission of willingness and online reporting is August 10, 2026. Selected candidates must respond within this window. Missing the deadline will cancel the allotted seat automatically.

CSAB Special Rounds fill the vacant seats left after JoSAA counselling. The seats belong to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs). The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur also participates in this process.

• Submit the security PIN shown on the screen.
• The Round 1 allotment status will open on the dashboard.

What Are the Willingness Options for Allotted Candidates?

Every allotted candidate must select one willingness option before the deadline. Each option carries a different meaning for the next round.

• Freeze: The candidate accepts the seat and exits future rounds.
• Slide: The candidate keeps the seat but seeks a better branch in the same institute.
• Float: The candidate keeps the seat but seeks any better allotment in Round 2.
• Surrender: The candidate releases the seat but stays in Round 2.
• Withdraw or Exit: The candidate leaves the counselling process fully.

How to Complete Online Reporting by August 10?

Online reporting confirms that the candidate has accepted the allotted seat. The process runs entirely on the CSAB portal and requires document upload.

• Log in to the CSAB candidate portal with your credentials.
• Select the willingness option that suits your preference.
• Pay the seat acceptance fee through the online payment gateway.
• Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
• Wait for the response from the reporting institute officer.
• Save the reporting slip once verification is complete.

Any candidate who skips this step by August 10 will lose the seat. The forfeited seat then moves to the Round 2 pool for reallocation.
