During the meeting, Dr. Pokhriyal also asked the officials to create a Dashboard on the official website which would contain information and contacts of all the NIOS Centres across the country.

He also added that this dashboard will also have suggestions from the stakeholders to create transparency in the existing system.

Dr. Pokhriyal also raised his concern over the quality of education being provided by the NIOS, and has suggested the officials to form a team to review on whether the institute is capable of “providing education at the grass root level” and “providing education to the illiterates”.

At the meeting, the Education Minister also advised NIOS to use Fresh Paper rather than that of the Recycled Paper for book publications, referring to health concerns of the students.
