AICTE has also requested all the deemed universities and standalone institutions to avoid the fees payment during the lockdown period. The Council has asked all the institutions and stakeholders to step forward and help the country in this difficult situation.

AICTE Chairman, Anil Sahasrabuddhe has stated, “We have devised online scrutiny of documents and virtual institute inspections in order to proceed with approval of new colleges. This process can’t be further delayed so we had to come up with a viable solution.” Adding to this he said that the online scrutiny will be at par with any physical scrutiny that institutes have been put through in the past.
