In view of increasing COVID-19 cases in Gujarat, the state government has imposed a weekend curfew. Despite this, ICAI CA, NIC, and SSC exam applicants will be permitted to travel to their allotted examination centers with a valid admit card or ID Card. 

Gujarat Additional Chief Secretary, Rajiv Gupta made the final call on the decision of permitting exam applicants to appear for the exam within Ahmedabad while carrying their allotted admit cards and ID Cards.

More than 200 Coronavirus cases have been reported in one day in Ahmedabad compared with 140 everyday cases. Additionally, 230 new coronavirus cases were reported alone on November 19, 2020.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has reported curfew for two days, keeping in mind the rising number of Coronavirus Cases. The curfew would come into power on Friday, November, 20 from 9 PM and will remain until 6 AM, November 23, 2020.

The state government has additionally reported night curfew from 9 PM to 6 PM in all significant urban areas of the state. Areas including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Surat will remain closed until further notice. Milk shops and medications will stay open during this time limit.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has also declared that public vehicles will stay suspended during the time. Public vehicle services that include Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Services (AMTS) would not work from November 20 to November 23, 2020.

Mr. Rupani said that there is no possibility of a lockdown in Gujarat as of now. They have chosen to implement a weekend curfew on Saturday and Sunday, in Ahmedabad city.

The curfew decision was taken on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at a meeting headed by the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel along with other senior authorities of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
