IIT Jodhpur will be using the GCX A100 supercomputer infrastructure as an integral resource for it's essential AI and Analytics curricular programs of the university.
The installation of India's largest artificial intelligence computer makes IIT Jodhpur the first academic recipient of the leading AI platform of India.
The NVIDIA DGX A100 is the world's first 5 petaFLOPS Artificial Intelligence system that works for all AI workloads such as offering unprecedented compute density, performance, and flexibility.

The accelerator enables enterprises to consolidate training, inference, easy to deploy AL infrastructure, and easy analytics.
The Managing Director of NVIDIA Vishal Dhupar said,'' The fundamental research IIT Jodhpur is engaged in will help solve the everyday challenges of 1.3 Billion Indians”.
He added,” We congratulate IIT Jodhpur on being our first DGX A100 customer in India and believe that these systems, as part of their AI CoE, will help them find the fastest solution in AI Research".
AI Supercomputer will Help the Facilities Undergoing 96 Research Projects
IIT Jodhpur has a history of fundamental research that focuses on Biosciences/Bioengineering, Healthcare, Chemistry, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Physics, and Smart Healthcare.
The installation of AI Supercomputer DGX A100 will help the facilities undergoing 96 research projects of IIT Jodhpur.

The objective behind installing the world's best supercomputer is to facilitate the projects in the field of AI, ML, Computer Vision, IoT, Sensors, Control Systems, Autonomous Systems, Cyber-Physical Systems, Robotics, Smart Health, Smart Cities, Bioinformatics, Drug Discovery, Data Analysis, and many others projects conducting by the university.
Director of IIT Jodhpur Prof. Shantanu Chaudhury said,'“AI has the potential to solve some of humanity’s greatest and most complex problems. However, with ever-increasing big data and the need for faster time to discover, AI infrastructure is critical to success".
