Dassault Systèmes has partnered with the IIT Ropar’s Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub (AWaDH) to offer an eight-week online internship programme for design and engineering students. This initiative will complement the university's online internship fair. Students interested in an online internship can apply at awadh.iitrpr.ac.in.
IIT Ropar AWaDH Internship 2021: How to Apply?

Candidates will receive training in design thinking, material selection, advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) practises, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis), advanced topics in systems-level modelling, life cycle analysis, project management, patent search, manufacturing simulations, and techno-economic analysis during the eight-week internship. They will be present during brainstorming sessions, patent searches, and literature reviews. They will also learn how to prepare patent documents.
This competition will be attended by 100 interns divided into 20 teams beginning on May 24.
The winning teams in this programme will be offered paid internships at IIT Ropar for six months, which they can complete according to their academic schedule and convenience. They will also be given the opportunity to travel to and stay at IIT Ropar in order to explore the possibility of future collaboration with the mentor faculty members.
In addition, the top five out of ten winning teams will receive a seed grant to help them launch a new business.
IIT Ropar AWaDH Internship 2021: Eligibility
Students in their second/third/fourth year of an engineering undergraduate or equivalent programme from any engineering institute/college/university with specialisations in fields such as aerospace, computer science and engineering, chemical, mechanical, production, metallurgy, materials, civil engineering, and others are eligible to participate. AWaDH will form interdisciplinary teams of interns and assign them to special projects.
