New Delhi: The Indian International Science Festival (IISF), an annual celebration of scientific exploration, innovation and public engagement is set to ignite the spirit of innovation once again in its 9th edition scheduled to take place at Faridabad from January 17 to 20, 2023

The Indian International Science Festival revolves around the theme of 'Science and Technology Public Outreach in Amrit Kaal’. It aims to engage and captivate the public with varying levels of interest in the field of science and innovation.

The festival serves as a platform to inspire a wide spectrum of individuals, including students, educators, scientists, researchers, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and science communicators.

The first two editions of the IISF were held in New Delhi. After this, it was held in Chennai, Lucknow, and Kolkata in 2017, 2018, and 2019. The 2020 edition was held digitally and the seventh and eighth editions took place in Panjim and Bhopal, respectively.

Highlights of Indian International Science Festival 2023

The IISF is committed to nurturing innovation, creativity, and advancement in science and technology, contributing to India's prosperity. The event will encompass 17 diverse themes highlighting scientific accomplishments, offering a multitude of advantages to participants and the public.

The festival serves as a platform for interaction among stakeholders through a range of activities, including seminars featuring national and international experts, interactive sessions with speakers, exhibitions, competitions, workshops, knowledge-sharing endeavors, technology showcases, and more.

About IISF

The Indian International Science Festival (IISF) was launched under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in collaboration with Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, and Vijnana Bharati.

Starting in 2015, the IISF has successfully conducted eight editions across diverse regions in India, evolving into a grand science festival. In 2021, the Department of Space and Department of Atomic Energy joined as significant contributors to the IISF.
