Indian Railways will generate 800,000 Jobs in 125 Days

Indian Railways is going to generate 800,000 man-days of employment opportunity for aspirants. The candidates will be engaged in infrastructure-related projects worth 1.8 billion INR for 125 days, until 31 October 2020. This is an initiative under the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan, which has been implemented in 116 districts across six states. 

The Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, in a tweet on 25 June, shared this information. The scheme was announced while reviewing the progress of the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan with Zonal Railways and Railway PSUs via video conference.

Recently, Indian Railways had completed the recruitment process of RRB ALP for 64,371 vacancies from among 4.745 million candidates for the posts of ALP and Technician. 56,378 candidates were selected.

Once the lockdown is removed, India Railways will speed up the recruitment process of RRB NTPC. The examination will be held with social distancing norms being observed. Over 12.6 million applications have been received to fill 35,208 vacancies. 

The pre-bid conference for the Exam Conducting Agency will be done on 3 July. The RRB NTPC examination dates will be announced in July or August. The registered candidates will be given admit cards to take the examination.

The examination dates for RRB Group D will also be announced after the Exam Conducting Agency is finalized. The examination will be held to fill 103,769 vacancies.
